Not a bad hotel, but a little bit expensive. When you add the Tenn hotel tax, the room was close to $100 a night, almost what a cabin would go for. The breakfast was pretty good: Dunkin Doughnut coffee (shhhhh), cold milk for several cereals to choose from; biscuits and gravy, pancakes from an automatic machine, fruit, breads English muffins, and plenty of fruit juices. No waffles though. The bed was very comfortable and the pool seemed clean.
Cons: The room seemed dated, the carpet had a few stains and the maid only cleaned our rooms two of the four days we were there. I brought it to the front desk agent's attention, and it seems the maids go home at a certain time whether the rooms are all done or not. Just the way things are in Townsend I guess? No a biggie. There were a few bikers in town during our stay and we could hear them through the door most of the evening until we turned the A/C fan on manual to override them.
All in all not a bad hotel. It seemed to measure up to the other Trip Advisors' comments.More
