My husband & I stopped in for an early dinner before driving through Cade's Cove. We're read reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed. We were greeted by Eddie the owner who made suggestions for us from the menu. While we waited for our food my husband and I enjoyed talking to Eddie and eventually joined by 2 other couples who came in for food & socializing. We spend an enjoyable 2 hrs eating and chatting like one big family. The Cuban sandwich was delicious and the Piccadillo just as tasty. We were stuffed but enjoyed the signature dessert...not to be missed! Thanks Eddie for a memorable meal! Two thumbs up!

I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting you guys, and specially chatting with your husband regarding the origins of civilization! It was also great that joined the other 2 couples in conversation, it was great to see and hear. Thank you from all of us at the cafe for having given us the opportunity to be part of your lives. Looking forward to your next visit...Muchas Gracias!

We saw the sign for a Cuban restaurant while in the area and decided to check it out. What a great surprise! The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your dining experience, and the food was delicious. Do not leave there without trying their signature dessert. It is their own creation and it is absolutely wonderful !!!!

Hey guys, it is great to hear from you and specially to learn that we met all of your expectations! Yeap, that "Dulcecito Cubanito" is in fact a great dessert which you will only find at our cafe. It was born on a day when we had nothing to do and were bored out of our minds! Our creative juices were flowing, and now, it is as you stated our signature dessert. By the way, we thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with all of us, and we look forward to seeing you guys when you visit beautiful Townsend, TN again! Travel safe and come home to us!

This place came highly recommended and we weren't let down. We had a cuban (pork, ham, cheese, etc), sweet potato fries and fried plantains. It was all delicious. It was recommended to split the sandwich and we were glad we did!

They offer inside or outside seating. You can bring your dog if you dine outside!

Oh yeah, the owner is charming and will give you a wonderful story on his long path from Cuba until he got to Townsend, TN.

While enjoying a long weekend in Townsend we were told about this "Great Cuban Restaurant". So we figured we'd give it a try. It was recommended that we share a Cuban Sandwich as they are HUGE...Great advice! We also had the Sweet Potato fries and Fried sweet plantains. All of it was delicious. To add to the great food, the owner stopped by our table several times to check on us and to tell us the history of how he went from Cuba to Townsend by way of Spain and Africa. Even though he was quite busy, he managed to make us feel very welcome. We met many people during our short visit but everyone was so nice, we figure it must be one of the friendliest places in Tennessee! I hope to go back for a longer visit soon and will definitely go back to say Hi to Eddie and eat at the Lil' Cuban Cafe
