Description: Dancing Bear Lodge's full-service restaurant, Dancing Bear Appalachian Bistro, is one of the finest Townsend, TN area restaurants. It offers casually elegant, regional cuisine. Enjoy simple fare from a menu that is refined, but not fussy. Family and friends gathering for a fun meal as well as couples seeking a romantic dinner for two surrounded by wooded views, are equally at home here.

A great meal in a beautiful location. Excellent wine and beer selections. Classy place. We will come back another time and get a room to spend a night here. Chef makes their own ice cream on site. Everything is hand made.

Excellent chef prepared food! The Trout with Shrimp and Grits was excellent - a great "mountain" take on Shrimp and Grits. The dining room was small and intimate with lots of windows overlooking the woods and an inviting fireplace.

We visited the restaurant during our stay at the Lodge. We could not be happier with our experience.
The service was great, prompt yet not rushing you or hoovering.
My wife ordered the brisket and loved it. I had trout with shrimp n grits and it was packed with flavor.

My wife and I recently dined here after hearing rave reviews and knowing that it's the sister property to nearby Blackberry Farm. We have stayed at Blackberry Farm and dined there, along with many other luxury hotels and restaurants around the world. I have to say, that the true southern hospitality shines here. The servers were very attentive and the food was timed just perfectly. We never felt that we were waiting for our next course or rushed to finish the one we had. I highly recommend taking a trip here to dine, and even stay if you can. We got to look in one of the Lodge rooms and it was very warm and cozy feeling, made it feel like home there. We look forward to coming back again and staying along with having dinner again.

Fine dining even if you are not staying at Lodge. Be sure and get reservations before you go. Enjoy!
