“WORST RIDING PLACE EVER”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

At Next to heaven , you were as close to heavenv as you could be without being in heaven. the staff member that was there was not friendly at all. if you were going to Towsend to go horseback riding in Townsend , PLEASE GO TO DAVY CROCKETT.The horses wanted to munch all the time and there was this really big rock that you had to step on it and go down a foot or go down a steep rock slide. the only good part wa.sthe view but the horses did not stop for it. the trail ride was only like 30-45 min. instead of one hour.

“We had a fantastic time.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

The staff here was very friendly and polite and everybody seems to love what they do. My horse kept wanting to stop and munch on vegetation along the trail and being an inexperienced rider, I didn't quite know how to get him going again. It was all part of the fun though! The best part was the zip lines. The two gentleman who took our group were very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a zip line adventure or some horseback riding, I recommend Next to Heaven.

“Horseback riding in the mountains”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

This stable was recommended to us by a couple who had taken their small children on the trail a few days before. This is an unguided ride and very enjoyable. The horses are well trained and know the way home so don't worry about getting lost. The owner is friendly and gives thorough instructions before turning you loose to enjoy the wonderful scenery along the peaceful trail. We would do this again.

“One of the best things to do in Gatlinburg!!”

We had a fantastic time riding. It was so much fun just having my husband and I riding the trail without a guide. Don't miss this!

“Very friendly host”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

This was a well run operation, and clean. We really thought the host and all other staff were really friendly. The only downside was that the ride was almost 45 degrees up the side of a mountain, and then back down that 45 degrees. Not a whole lot of flat riding but it was unguided. The horse I was on got attacked by a horse fly more than once, and each time took off running for several gallops. It got my attention more than once as the angle of the slope came into play and I thought we were going to go off trail each time. A little scary to say the least but we had a good time. Reasonably priced and nice views of the mountains.
