We stayed in one of the cabins. It was extremely clean and very quiet. Can't beat the location. It's a bit of drive to Gatlinburg, but we'd rather not be near that craziness. The access to Cade's Cove and the road to Clingman's dome and Cherokee is great.
The kitchenette is nice, but don't plan on making any sort of elaborate meals. They have a fire pit and a nice patio that looks like a former (or current?) pool covered with a wooden deck. Rocking chairs to relax in. Owners were friendly and helpful.
The only reason I did not give five stars was a faint musty smell in our cabin. I didn't find it to be a problem, but it was noticeable. I think it's to be expected in an older facility that spends part of the time closed up tight. This is not a Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Inn type facility, so not suited for people who want that type of hotel. Personally, I love a really great, clean mom and pop hotel and that's what this is. I would stay here again.More
