“Lovely Quiet and CLEAN!!”

Enjoyed two nights at this property while our Peterbilt was repaired next door. Very clean and comfortable, but best part was how QUIET the hotel was during our stay. Quite nicely, the restaurant next door was a couple strides away and so convenient. Plus just across the interstate is a fairly new plaza with major stores and other restaurants to choose from. If there is a complaint - it was the smell in the hallway on either end of our floor. Not a bad smell, but none the less, most noticeable in the mornings or late evenings. The housekeeping staff managed to mask it well during their work hours. We will be back to stay every chance we have.

From the moment we checked in, I wanted to love this hotel. The guy at the front desk was phenomenal! He was warm, welcoming, gave us a great tips on the area and restaurants (with coupons). The lobby was nice, that's where it ended. Our room was adequate, nothing special, was worn and needed updating. It had a dehumidfier for some reason which filled in the middle of the night, the alarm went off and woke us all. The pool had too much chlorine that we even heard other guests comment about their eyes burning. Our breakfast the next morning was disappointing. We went down at 7:45 am and nearly all the cereal was out, what was left of the the scrambled eggs was dried up, milk was expired, the floor was dangerously slippery and there was nobody around to address any of these issues. Then the elevator broke so we had to take all our luggage down the stairs. It was funny that no matter what good we tried to see in this hotel, something bad always happened. Again, if it weren't for the guy who checked us in, I'm not sure I would have given this place a 3. It was super convenient, right off the highway, and was in walking distance to a good restaurant.

Thank you for taking your time to bring these issues to our attention. This feedback was very helpful and I want to assure you that your issues have been addressed. The Fairfield Inn and Suites now has a new general and front office manager and we are dedicated to making sure that the hotel exceeds our guest’s expectations in all aspects. The breakfast has recently been upgraded and there is now a breakfast attendant that makes sure that all of the food is fresh and well prepared and is available during all breakfast hours should a guest have any needs. We have focused specifically on making sure that every room is fresh and clean. I am terribly sorry that the elevator was not working and that you had to take the stairs. We take your feedback very seriously and I apologize that your experience did not meet the standards that we strive for. Thank you for your review and I hope that you will come stay with us again and that we can exceed your expectations on your next visit.

We had booked this room through friends and family program with Marriott. We arrived about 11:30 p.m. and there was a very young guy working the desk. He never welcomed us...just began chastising us for being late and not calling in to tell them. (I was never instructed by Marriott when I reserved the room that calling in was a policy.) he then very rudely informed us that the credit card I gave him to reserve the room had been "rejected" and he had cancelled our reservation. An older male clerk came out and overheard this part of the conversation then told the young dude to tell us the rest... Young Dude said he had re-entered our reservation but needed another card. We had never planned on using the card that "held" the reservation anyway so gave him the correct card and went to our room. At crack of dawn the sun cme streaming in as the drapes did not reach to edges or bottom of window. We will not be using Fairfield again... Even at $45 per night!

Great Stay. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, the best of our trip. The beds were great and was the best night sleep we had in our 10day drip from MI to Disney and back. Would definately stay here again if in the area. Great staff from the maintence to front desk, to breakfast attendant. A lot of other hotels could learn from the service and customer service from this team.

Hotel was easy to access, fairly up to date & overall, appeared well maintained. Front desk staff were prompt & courteous. Room was clean with no odors & had no detectable traffic noise despite the fact that the hotel is located right off the interstate.

Stay was dampened by a group of NOISY girls traveling with a sports team who's room(s) surrounded mine...at one point, they were literally giggling, screaming, shouting, running up & down the hallways and playing soccer inside - at about 10 o'clock at night. They moved their shenanigans out to the parking lot (presumably after noise complaints) but you could still hear them carrying on outside until around Midnight...not something a weary business traveler wants to contend with.

Breakfast was a challenge with only one half of one toaster working and due to the fact that the gentleman working the front desk appeared to be the same individual trying to get the breakfast area set up and was just getting items set out at 7 am. The breakfast/lobby area are small & cramped making for a generally uncomfortable experience.

Overall, the hotel probably gets 4/5 for the facility & staff, however, the overall experience gets 2.75/5 for the lack of response in insuring a relaxing, quiet stay for all guests as well as a poor breakfast service.

This marriott property is well located right off the interstate on the main road of Smyrna within literally 5 minutes drive of EVERYTHING you could need from restaurants and shops to medical care. Not only that but there's a restaurant chain property that shares the parking lot with the hotel that you can actually walk to which is not that common. The rooms are standard for this brand and very well maintained but what will blow your socks off is the SERVICE from the welcome at the front desk to the personalized letter in your room to the sculpted swans on your bed....NOT TYPICAL for this brand. I had a blown entry way bulb and it was fixed by the time I got back to the room from work that evening no issues as it should be. They are personable, friendly, responsive and I will DEFINITELY STAY There again..

Room Tip: I always like a higher floor in case theres any foot noise above you...
