Here's our story- We were scheduled to stay at this B&B on August 6, 2006. We made our reservations a month ahead of time. When we pulled up to the B&B and walked inside there were several people in the living room talking. They said that the Innkeeper was not there, so we waited until they located her. The Innkeeper Susan arrived later and said that she was sorry, but we would be staying in a duplex down the street. ??? We were wondering what she was talking about. "A duplex?" She told us that they were adding a bakery to their B&B. She said this was the only time the construction crew could work on it and that we would not be able to stay at the B&B. We followed her to the duplex and she took us inside. We asked her about breakfast and that seemed to complicate things even more! She wasn't sure how that was going to be possible. ??? We explained to her that this was not what we expected and we asked her if there would be an adjustment in the rate and she said, "Oh no, she couldn't possibly do that." She later offered to take $10.00 off the rate, but at that point we felt as though we were more of a bother than a welcomed guest, so we decided to find accomodatons elsewhere.
