We stopped at the English Mountain trout farm and grill on our way home after spending time in Pigeon Forge. It was a great little place and a fun experience. My two sons (ages 5 & 2) loved watching the fish and catching them. The staff were very friendly and the owner taught my husband how he guts the fish.
We ordered the trout blackened and lemon pepper. The boys got a hamburger and hot dog. The food tasted great. The only downside was that it took longer than a normal restaurant tog et our food because there was only one lady cooking. That's only a problem for me because it's hard to wrangle two boys for more than two seconds.
I would definitely recommend a trip out to the English mountain trout farm and grill. It's fun, great food, and friendly staff.

Great little hidden gem in Sevierville off the beaten path. Our son loved to catch the trout from their large pond that became our dinner! The food was excellent as well and the folks who run the farm are good people and very enjoyable to talk to. Would definitely come here again!

We have been coming to the smokies since 1983. We discovered this place then. We haven't been to the smokies in about ten years and were so glad they were still there. It was as good as we remembered. Nothing can beat catching and then eating your fish. If you go to the smokies you have to come here to have the best fish dinner ever!

We stopped by this "best kept secret" mountain trout fishing hole one day after we explored the Forbidden Caverns in east Tennessee. The small on site kitchen awaited your catch to clean, cook and serve up on one of the pondside picnic tables with your choice of fixin's. We purchased so much more than a meal that day! The fish were quick to bite the baited hooks hanging from the cane pole they provide you. The squeals of excitement pierced the air as the tug of the rainbow trout quickly became "catch of the day" aka "dinner". Their staff eagerly assisted us by scooping the flopping fish with a net when we pulled them onto the shore. They did all the hard work while we waited. The delicious plate that followed was loaded with a fresh trout, Cole slaw, French fries and the best hushpuppies/cornbread. You choose how you want it cooked, fried or blackened. We washed ours down with some good old fashion sweet tea! Beginners and experienced fishermen will appreciate the chance to fish without the necessity of patience. We were in and out, full tummy and all, in less than a hour!

We would return again and again :) try the trout. Best ever. We happened upon this little place and loved the food and conversations with the owners. You have to try this.
