Selection is limited compared to other buffets in the park, but I think that allows better quality food at a lower price. I work in food service and tend to avoid buffets as the food is not always served at the right temperature, or is held longer than it should. The cleanliness and freshness of the food prepared at Miss Lillian's was outstanding. Lillian's served a green salad that looked very fresh-no wilt or discoloration, and a pasta salad on the cold side of the buffet. On the hot side instant mashed potatoes, green beans, white gravy, biscuits, three kinds of chicken, and chicken fried steak. Quite a variety of desserts offered, too. Everything was "from the oven" hot. Large portions of instant mashed potatoes can be tricky to make, if your lazy about it they can have lumps or dry spots. These were PERFECT! Sounds silly, but I really appreciated the obvious effort the employees put into our meal.
Miss Lillian graciously entertained us during our meal, even getting my 14 yr old daughter up and dancing with her. The only drawback I saw to eating at the Chicken House that day was the temperature. It was a little chilly out and our enclosed part of the restaurant was not heated.
