“Trendy/Intimate”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

The atmosphere in Bistro 109 was awesome. It looked classic with the decor and piano in front. It's not huge so it's nice for an intimate lunch/dinner. The staff was awesome and the food was great! They give huge portions so expect leftovers. :) For desert I reccomend the white chocolate cheesecake. Yummm!!

“Delicious food, away from the main drag”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

We wanted to support some real local food businesses and not chain restaurants on our recent trip to Pigeon Forge. Bistro 109 is not a chain, and their menu says they support organic and local food producers, which is important to us. We tried out the fried goat cheese appetizer (after reading the tripadvisor reviews), which was unbelievably good. Ordered small plate dinners but wish we had ordered the larger plates because we were still a little hungry. It was a little out of our price range though but if you can afford high end don't miss it! Very extensive menu, and great service.

“First but not the last Visit”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

This was the first time at this restaurant and I will surely be back. When we walked in the piano player was playing great relaxing music. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Wine was ordered and it was very good. We ordered cheese squares for an appetizer and there were more than enough to share. My main course was Maple Glazed Duck Breast which was magnificent. My wife ordered a small plate, most meals can be ordered regular or small, of Veal Lamponi. She could hardly finish there was so much. The quality of the food and the service were top notch. We will certainly go back many more times.

“Ok Food. Slow service.”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

We were told this was one of the best places in town. We stopped here on a weekday about 1PM after the noon rush. There was only one other table with customers so the service should have been better. The place is pretty upscale and we were not dressed for it so maybe that is why we got slow service. Two of us got the pot pie and the other two had the salad with tuna. They served sweet potato fries that were burned and you could not eat them. The pot pie was very good, but we had a hard time just getting our water glasses refilled. When we checked out the manager or owner did not even look up and acknowledge we were leaving or ask how our food was. The workers were standing around talking with several of the business people who were well dressed while we were ingnored. I hope they do not treat all their guests who are not dressed for this place like we were treated. We will not return.
