Our group has known Elvira for several years when she worked at a restaurant in Townsend, TN. She recently opened her Cafe in Wears Valley, and we've eaten breakfast once last year, and breakfast and dinner this year. Breakfast consists of local ingredients and have a "home cooked" quality. Likewise, dinners also use local ingredients.

Both the food and service are outstanding, as the crowds in the Cafe prove! Elvira can often be seen running back and forth helping servers, as well as being cashier. The food is prepared at the front portion of the Cafe, where, for example, one can watch the chefs prepare crepes and other breakfast items.

Elvira's Cafe is about a 15 minute drive from either Townsend or Sevierville

We were there for dinner, and the food was great! The lady doing who seated us wasn't very nice, but everyone else was awesome! Will try breakfast there next time.

We were attracted by the beautiful setting in the foothills, and by their promise of fresh local ingredients. They lived up to their promise. A grown-up grill cheese sandwich (including bacon and ham, 2 kinds of cheeses) with the best onion rings. My wife had buckwheat crepes with apples, almonds an ricotta which was wonderful. Highly recommended and we will be back.

I think out of the four of us, I had the best meal. I chose the chicken buckwheat crepe with feta, mushrooms, spinach and a sweet sauce. It was mouthwatering good! I'd not tasted anything like it. Highly recommended. The service there needs to be improved, however.
