Went there while they were offering the free bridge tour while the smokies were closed. Thank you for opening up your wonderful place for us to see and hike.

“Soooo much fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2013

This is a family owned property which is well kept and run. We originally were headed here for the hike to the swinging bridge and waterfall. We found out they also offered Bear Crawl tours which is a must if you don't mind getting bounced around. These little machines were amazing with a 180 degree turning radius which the driver takes full advantage of as he twists and turns through the wooded mountain trail. We made a couple of stops where you can climb try to climb a 70ft high cliff in an iron mine and then view the falls. We are so glad we took this tour! The hike to the falls isn't extreme but can be rough in spots but they have benches along the way if you'd like to rest. They also have ziplining which looked fun. Great pieces of art on the property, a small museum, nice general store and a great big front porch where you can sit while waiting for your tour. Also some fun activities to keep kids as well as adults occupied while waiting such as corn hole and the biggest game of Jenga I've ever seen! Also roaming the property are chickens and a rooster and at least 4 lazy and friendly dogs. We had a great time here!

“A great find in the Smokies.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2013

We were visiting the Smokies during the government shutdown, so we're looking for an alternative hiking area. Really glad we found Foxfire Mountain. The drive out was beautiful and well marked with directions signage.. We did the the swinging bridge, canopy tour and hike to Lost Mine Falls. The hike is not long but is a bit challenging do to elevation change. Definitely worth doing. The base camp is very rustic giving you the warm, lazy mountain air feeling right down to the sleeping dogs laying around. Don't be afraid of the "pit " toilets, they're real restrooms with running water. Would highly recommend this outdoor Smoky Mountain experience.

“An afternoon with the family.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

My daughter was visiting the Sevierville area with her 3 children and was looking for something fun to do for a few hrs. She ask me to join them, which I did. I had no idea what Foxfire Mountain was but went along anyway. I am glad we got to go. It was a very nice laid-back place. The swinging bridges were really nice. Nothing was crowded. It is almost like playing out in your own back yard. All 3 children ages 6,9, and 11 seemed to have a good time. This attraction was not expensive. I think the 5 of us got in for 40 something dollars.

“Love love love!”

Due to the government shut down of the national parks at the time we were in town, we were looking for a unique place to visit and we found it on FoxFire Mountain! This is a class act place. For breast cancer awareness month in October, they all wore pink and even one of the resident canine's got in on the act! These folks give to charities and allowed visitors to the bridge free admission due to the government's blunder. It is a very inspirational place to visit. If you're looking for mainstream, this is not the place for you. If you appreciate kind hearted American's and a unique, spiritual and scenic way to spend a few hours... Then this is you're place!
