“One of the best places to eat in the Smoky Mountains area...”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We spent over a week in a cabin overlooking the beautiful Wears Valley. On one of our last nights in town we decided to stop for dinner at the Friendly Falls Food & Stuff Restaurant. We were Extremely dissapointed... Not in the food but in ourselves for not stopping here earlier. A fantastic view, great food (best Burger in the area), and a spectacular view of the waterfalls. We highly recommend the McLarren Wings which were AMAZING. Chicken tenderloin stuffed with a slice of jalapeno, wrapped in bacon and flash fried. Then dipped in home made hot sauce and served with blue cheese and crudite. Again.... AMAZING!!!!!! The couple that own the place are sweet as can be and this should be a MANDATORY stop on any trip to the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, TN area.

“...best kept secret on Wears Valley Rd!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

My husband and I usually spend a week in beautiful Townsend Tn and we don't want to leave once we get there except to make our annual visit to Friendly Falls Restaurant. We love the food and beautiful setting above the falls. When you eat on their deck, you feel like you are in a tree house looking down on the falls. The pulled pork sandwich is outstanding...that's what we go for. If you are travelling between Pidgeon Forge and Townsend on the Wears Valley Rd, stop by the Falls, you can't beat it for food and atmosphere.

“Wonderful wedding!!”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

Tina and Clyde helped make a last minute wedding come together in one day! Our friends Greg and Danielle were looking for a place to have their wedding and Friendly Falls came to the rescue. It was the first wedding they had there and it turned out just perfect! Friendly is the perfect description of this place! They couldn't have made the day better! Make sure you stop by! They will make you feel like the place is yours!

“Don't drive on by...”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

This is definitely my first review, and it's because this is the type of place everyone hopes to stumble upon whether on vacation or just driving through.

Tine and Clyde were such gracious hosts and were so much fun to talk to.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and drove by the place on our way to pigeon forge. We saw it as we drove by and made a mental note that it may be a fun place to stop. We stopped by that night, and all 4 nights we were there. (And a couple times during the day.)

We spend too much money doing "touristy" type things and found our time better spent relaxing and having a drink and some food by the waterfall. It would be worth stopping even if the prices were double.

Depending on the night, they also have live music available which definitely adds to the "fun factor." I love live music of all kinds and you won't find many places better suited to an intimate private show.

Do you like to play? They also offer to let you grab a guitar and pick a little yourself. This allowed me to play a little guitar and sing to my lovely new wife and just made a lasting memory.

We definitely will tell everyone we know about this place and will not allow any Tennessee visitors to drive through without stopping.
