Just stayed 7 nights in a 2 bedroom condo at Resort at Governors Crossing. The rooms were clean and spacious. The amenities are nice for the price you pay. People complain about the housekeeping services, but there are signs clearly stating that they do not have full housekeeping due to the condo set up. Our kids are 2, 6 and 7 years old. Both the indoor and outdoor waterparks were sufficient for them and they had a great time at both. Our 2 year old loved the pirate ship play area. We did not try the mini-golf but it was a nice option that was included with our stay. Some of the staff did not speak good English as mentioned in other reviews, but they were all friendly and made us feel welcome. We liked the location because it was back off the main road but still close enough to attractions and dining. Head out the back way to Veterans Blvd and you can be at Dollywood or in Pigeon Forge in minutes. Our room was 2501 (building 2 on the top floor) Access to the pool was on floor 1. I personally would want to avoid that floor because of the noise and traffic. If you have a pool view room or a room facing the road, the higher floors seem to be the best. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best view and least noise

Thank you for your kind review of our property. I am very pleased to hear how much you and your family enjoyed your recent stay with us here at The Resort. Our goal is 100% guest satisfaction and it seems like we hit our mark with your stay. We try to add different on site activities that are family friendly so that you do not have to venture far from your room to have fun. If you do choose to try some of the other attractions around town Veterans Boulevard is a wonderful short cut; especially if you are heading to Dollywood or Splash Country. Next time you stay with us be sure to sign up for our free Smoky Mountain Rewards Program. We hope to see you again soon.

We stayed here recently for 4 nights. It's nice to have condo-style lodging when you go with extended family so that you can all hang out in the living room common area. The washer and dryer are handy, and it's nice to come home with very few dirty clothes! The water park amenities are really nice and I think my kids were just about as happy staying here as staying at the Wilderness at the Smokies (in the summer so the outdoor area is available, too) because it's just not as crowded and they can ride the water slides over and over again.
The only issues we had this time is that we got very few washcloths when our towels were exchanged each day. We also had to go to the office to ask for more tp and coffee. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool if various non-swimmer family members want to watch the kids from the balcony.

Thank you for your recent review of our property. Our large rooms are great for extended family gatherings and fun visits. The pool is one of the major things that bring guests through our doors. The balconies facing the pool are also a nice feature for family members who want to watch but also stay out of the sun. I apologize for the housekeeping staff not leaving enough wash cloths during your stay and I will be sure to address this issue with the correct staff members. We hope that you have a great summer and come visit us again very soon here at The Resort at Governors Crossing!

We took a group of Girl Scouts for an overnight trip to the Hollywood Wax Museum and Dollywood. This hotel was in a great location to get to before hitting the really crowded areas around Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. The swimming area was big, but easy to keep track of everyone. We let them swim for awhile before doing the other activities and it was easy location to get back to later that night. Everyone was curteous and the rooms were large enough for several preteen girls get ready, eat, sleep, etc. The staff was also very accommodating to put 2 rooms next to each other for our crowd.

Room Tip: We were in the Resort 2 Building and it was convenient to everything.

Thank you for writing a review for us. I am very glad to hear that your Girl Scout Troop enjoyed their time with us here at The Resort at Governors Crossing. I hope they enjoyed the Hollywood Wax Museum which is a new attraction for the 2013 season. The Wax Museum and Dollywood are two of the many new attractions to enjoy here in the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. Our spacious rooms, indoor & outdoor swimming areas, and friendly staff are several of the reasons that our guests keep coming back year after year. We hope to see you again soon here at The Resort at Governors Crossing.

Loved this place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Whitney @ the front desk was fabulous! We (parents, grandparents and grandson)had a two bedroom condo and it had everything we could possibly need. Washer and dryer was immaculate as were the bathrooms and kitchen. Beds were very comfortable with all white bedding. Huge pillows. Our grandson so enjoyed the Lazy River and indoor and outdoor pools. Location was perfect . Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your recent review of our property. Our two bedroom condos are very popular with our guests as they offer plenty of room to spend time with family and relax. We recently upgraded all of our bedding and pillows so I am very glad to hear that it was comfortable for you and your family. It is great to hear that your grandson enjoyed the water parks as they are a hit with kids and adults alike. I will be sure to let Whitney know that she helped make your stay more enjoyable. We hope to see you again very soon here at The Resort at Governors Crossing.
