“Nice stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We took our family for a couple of days in October. Very nice rooms with plenty of space. Nice indoor waterpark. A great place to stay with kids. We had our 3 grandkids with us and they had a wonderful time. The only problem was the outdoor pools were not warm at all, the kids could not get in them. The staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely would stay again.

Thank you for having chosen to stay at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing and for taking the time to post your comments. Grandparents become very popular when they bring the grandkids to The Resort with all our pools and other amenities. The larger units, especially our multiple bedroom units, come in handy as grandparents are afforded a little more “space”.
We apologize for the cooler outdoor water temperatures. With daytime highs and nighttime lows being at times 40-50 degrees in difference, maintaining a desired pool temperature at our farthest pools can be a challenge. This is the reason that when people inquire as to when we are closing the outdoor pools we state our planned date, but also state weather permitting.
We again thank you and hopefully you and your family will join us in the future.

Stayed at The Resort recently in a king studio condo, I am very impressed. The rooms were clean and spacious, having the kitchen and laundry room was a great convience. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful giving us directions, especially Andree he did an outstanding job. I plan on staying here again for Christmas and I would highly recommend it. Plus it's close to the outlet malls :) Jamie Williams Kentucky

This property is more condo style than hotel. The indoor water park was very small compared to the other indoor water park in the area for a similar price. Would stay here again if price was less. We paid $375 for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom. Would have been more but we had AAA and one night was off weekend. Good place if you can get for a better price

Thank for staying at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing. The Resort’s units are condominiums with the 2 bedroom unit that you stayed in having over 1000 sq ft. of living space. The 2 BDR units accommodate up to 8 people with 2 separate bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, living room/dinning room with a fully equipped kitchen plus a washer/dryer unit.
We thank you for posting your comments on Trip Advisor and hopefully you will choose to stay with us in the future.

Our suite was affordable, clean and spacious. The living room area was nice with a sleeper sofa and a kitchen. There was a washer and dryer too. We had a great view of the outdoor pool area. The outdoor pool was great when it was working but the heater for the pool and hot tub broke half-way through our stay. The pool hours were not clearly posted and were variable on every night that we were there. When the outdoor pool was closed, the indoor pool was very busy and packed. They have several water slides and are close to many different restaurants. We'd definitely stay there again.

Thank you for having chosen The Resort at Governor’s Crossing and for posting your comments. Our condominiums give guests the added space and amenities when traveling so that they can feel more like being at their own home. We apologize for the heaters with the outdoor pools, as they do trip safety switches when they have been active for an extended period which with the cooler fall weather will happen.
We again than you and look forward to having you stay with us in the future.

This is the nicest place a couple or family would want to be at. The indoor/ outdoor waterparks are perfect for families. This condo is absolutely beautiful. Jacuzzi tub, bed was sooo comfortable and had my morning coffee on the balcony with view of the mountains. Kitchen is complete, just bring groceries! Washed and dried my laundry (yes a washer and dryer!) to carry to next stop ;-)
The decor and dark wood furnishings, 10' ceilings, private balcony accessible from the bedroom and great room, each with a large flatscreen tv...just an absolutely perfect stay! The price was lower than some of the motels with nothing to offer but a bed and free coffee.
We went to Dollywood, 2 miles away and had a great time. This was the best time of year with the leaves changing into vibrant colors. Coming back for Christmas! What else can I say! Also, Expedia had a great rate but was actually quoted a lesser price at the desk!

Room Tip: no restaurant due to each condo has a separate kitchen, but next to Applebees, the Winery, and 1/4 m...

Thanks again to the front desk clerk misty kitts for making my stay amazing. She always knows the newest best things to do with our family. This hotel is our favorite in the area. The mini water land is great for the kids and the staff is always so very friendly. We come often and are always happy with our stay.

We have stayed other places in the smokies, but we keep coming back here. Nice rate. Room is always clean. Room amenities are very nice especially the galley kitchen. The indoor water park is nice and always well kept. The best of all is the location. This is a nice place and have had a lot of great memories here.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a suite.
