We just had a wonderful stay here! Good location, and we really enjoyed the pools and lazy river! Room was nice and clean, bed confortable and staff very helpful! Restaurants you can walk to and lots to do. The lifeguard, Jesse, was super helpful, knew lot about the area and even gave us tips for another vacation at the outer banks! Thanks Jesse!! We will definitely be back!

Thank you for having chosen to stay at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing and for posting your comments. Our location is a great feature of The Resort as we are close to dinning, shopping, attractions and yet just minutes to the mountains and Dollywood.
We are pleased that you were impressed with members of our staff, we will be sure to recognize the pool attendant that you mention.
We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to the Smokies!

Our first trip to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area and we weren't sure where to stay. We reserved the pool view, 3-bedroom condo here and it made an enjoyable family vacation!

The layout of the condo was great - and we really appreciated each bedroom having their own bathroom, a big plus! The rooms were comfortable and clean, nice bedding, relaxing fireplaces in some rooms and a jacuzzi tub in the third. The living room area was narrow, but we had plenty room for the kids to spread out and play. It is really nice having the kitchen and washer/dryer.

The indoor water park was really clean and we enjoyed it. The evening pool attendant was super with the kids, fitting them in vests and answering all our questions. The kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and slides.

I only have 2 complaints:

Cleaning of the condo was not included in the price we paid - after 5 days, it was getting a bit dirty - needed vacuuming, dusting, etc. For the price we paid at reservation, cleaning really should be included. We did have the trash taken out daily. And were supposed to have towel service, and the non-english speaking cleaning staff was difficult to converse with. We had no towels left one day and after a couple more days had run out of toilet paper that hadn't been replaced. Just small issues, and one of the males with a cart let us pick out what we needed after he couldn't understand our request for paper and more towels.

2nd complaint was the closing of the outdoor water park on 4/26. It was the only nice, warm day that didn't rain while we were staying there and we had returned back to the condo early in the afternoon expecting to finally get to use the outdoor pools. Only when we changed into our suits and walked back down to the pool area, we found it locked. There wasn't any sign explaining why, so we asked at the front desk and were told it was closed for cleaning. We'd been there for 5 days and had seen it cleaned each morning, and never seen any guests using it, so that was really disheartening and confusing. We let the kids play on the pirate ship - which is super cool! And later that evening, we saw an attendant walking around the pool area - we asked him again if it would be opened that evening and he said no because the pool needed to be vacuumed. I'm not sure why that couldn't have been done and then reopen it so we could enjoy those pools, too! Super disappointed we never got to use the lazy river or the lumberjack roll!

Overall - enjoyable stay, I guess I'd recommend paying extra for cleaning - just don't agree it should cost extra!

We thank you for having chosen to stay with us at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing. Our three bedrooms condominiums are very large units and like you, guests enjoy the multiple bathrooms.
We apologize for the unscheduled closure of the outdoor pools on 4/26. Earlier that day a poolside glass table top was broken. To insure the safety of our guests the entire area had to be closed so that all glass pieces were removed from the pool decking as well as all of the pools and lazy river. With the constant movement of the water from the filtration systems and the pumps propelling the lazy river, these areas had to be vacuumed multiple times. We realize this was a disappointment to some guests but we are thankful no injuries occurred and that we had our indoor waterpark facilities for guests to enjoy during the temporary closure.

We stayed at The Resort @ Governors Crossing last weekend, and it was wonderful.  From the moment that we checked in to the moment that we checked out, we enjoyed your great facilities and your staff's exceptional hospitality.

Our children loved the water parks, and the housekeeping staff was really helpful and friendly, especially Andree who showed us how to do Origami with towels and taught us some Spanish words.

Your staff made our stay very pleasant.  We hope to return soon.

We booked this hotel for my son's 10 birthday celebration! The condos were very clean with everything you need, and the staff was very friendly. Kyle who works the indoor pool was very nice and is very good with kids and what he does. Last year we stayed at Wilderness for his birthday, and asked him which he liked better...surprisingly he said Governor's Crossing! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Resort at Governor's Crossing in March for 2 nights on a short visit to Gatlinburg. The resort was a bit difficult to find as the sign just says "The Resort" and there is a condo nightly rental place next door, but once we found it all was good.

The staff at this hotel could not be friendlier, the rooms very, very spacious, decorated in a country charm (grandma's house) kinda feel and the rate outstanding. To get a full 2 bed bedroom, large kitchen, full bath and a living room with pull out sofa, dining table for 4, a Lazyboy, TV and fireplace (with balcony) for $109/night is crazy -- it basically was a once bedroom apartment. And the place was super clean. The pool area very large and the inside pool area nice as well. Free wi-fi too. A not to be missed stay if you have kids for sure.

The only weird (I wouldn't call it negative) was that there was a bookshelf in the living room with VHS tapes, old games, a CD player -- it looked like it was straight out of the 80ies, like a bookshelf at your grandparents place. The deco was a bit "county/tacky" as well. It actually felt like you were staying in someone's home.

Thank you for posting your comments on Trip Advisor regarding your recent stay at The Resort at Governor’s Crossing. You are correct when you stated that it felt like staying in someone else’s home as these units are individually owned at The Resort. Many units do have certain personal touches added, like CDs, games, artwork, etc. All units at The Resort have certain standards that must be met to be on the rental program. All furnishings, sofas, chairs, mattresses, TVs, etc are changed out property wide at certain intervals to keep furnishings fresh and in good condition. The personal touches are one of the many advantages in renting a condo instead of that sterile hotel room.
Again, we thank you for your comments and for having chosen The Resort at Governor’s Crossing.
