Ate here twice when we was on vacation in Smokies for Christmas. Good food both times, excellent seafood realy liked their grilled lobster and shrimp and scallops dinner, was priced very good for all we got. Will go back again next Christmas .Only complaint was noisy in there.

Went to Joe;s Crab Shack on Christmas break. The food was good and plenty of it but a little on the pricey side. Will still go back and try the crab legs for which they are famous for.

We anticipated the opening of the newest "Joe's" in Sevierville Tn thinking this would be another favorite place to dine. But we we're very disappointed twice. I have ate at aprox. 12 different Joe's Crab Shacks in several states and this one is by far the worst. save your money and time and go to Bubba Gumps in Gatlinburg. better yet grab some Captain D's or Long John Silvers, it will be better than this place. the service "SUCKS" and the tiny portions wouldn't feed a two year old. trust me on this one, avoid this place and dine across the street at Red Lobster, or go down the road to the Alamo and eat some real good food!!!

We usually go RV camping with friends in the Sevierville / Pigeon Forge touristy area at least 3 times a year since we only live 45 miles away. The last time, we decided to give the newly built Joe's Crab Shack a try as we had watched on-going construction from our favorite frequented Olive Garden just across the highway. After a campground lunch and much shopping we opted, on a whim, to stop off for drinks and appetizers on a Monday afternoon. Now, the only other Joe's Crab Shack I had ever been to was in Birmingham, AL some 8 or 9 years ago and I was impressed then. Not so with this one. Mainly the architecture and layout were just not conducive to good times. We sat in the bar area. Very stark interior metal surroundings, bright windows with glaring sun reflections (put a tacky fishing net over them at least), useless t-shirt alcove in the front (that would sell better behind the bar), and just not the Disneyesque wood-like fishing shack of the open area Birmingham, bar / restaurant. So, my complaint is really only visual. On the other hand the drinks were good and appetizers excellent and a bit pricey, the bartender personable and the hourly (??) wait staff floor show entertaining, as far as we could judge to the very sparse crowd seated there. Hopefully, in time, this lively seafood place should offset the family-dull Red Lobster on the opposite corner. Might go back.

I never miss going to Joe's when I visit the area! I have even been know to drive the 2 hrs from Vhattanooga just to eat there! The staff is always friendly, celebrations of b'days are funny and the food is fantastic!!!! But be prepared, they are normally extremely busy as any excellent restrauant would be, so be prepared to wait! But it's worth it!!
