I will definitely plan to revisit this hotel in the future. Hotel was clean answer located in a good area. Shopping was easy due to hotels location. We liked the layout of the rooms, gave privacy. Will stay again at this hotel.

I booked directly at the hotel site and chose the "run of the house" rate. It was cheaper and we could choose whatever room available when we check in. We got the King jacuzzi room and was quite happy. The room was very spacious with a sleeping area and a living area with the bathroom in the middle to separate the two. The jacuzzi tub was in the living room area. The living room has a sofabed and a tv with a door that opened to the patio. The view was very nice. I think the hotel need to update their linen and mattress. Our blanket was had a rip and a few small holes. The pillows and mattress weren't comfortable. The location was great. It was close to Tanger outlet, walmart, and many restaurants.

This property is showing its age. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fairly clean, but the floors had not been vacuumed well (several hairbands and small items in floor beside bed). The bed was not great, but would have been passable had it not been for the lousy pillows (flat and hard). These were the worst pillows I've ever seen in a hotel. Breakfast was fine (typical hotel fare). Overall, this stay was overpriced. The saving grace was the great location near the Tanger outlets. However, I would not stay here again.

Every couple of months my wife and I take a few days and try out a local hotel, just to get away for a moment.

I was impressed by the overall size and cleanliness of the rooms and the facility overall. With it's neatly perched position, some rooms offer a great view of our beloved valley. We tend to stay in the room most of the time on our 'getaways,' so we called ordered in most of the time. The staff at the front desk was really helpful in pointing us in the right direction, based on time of day and our overall and regular indecisiveness. They were entertaining and helpful. Tunique (sorry dear, I never caught the correct spelling of your name) was hilarious and overly helpful, but no to the annoying and patronizing end, as some. You could tell that she really enjoyed working for a small business and wanted it to succeed. Holiday Inn could take a lesson or two from her.

Overall, the entire stay was nice, the price was decent, and if I had one word of advice for the G.I., it would be to beef up the Wi-Fi just a bit. Not in any way is it bad, but I've also never been to a hotel in which it was great.

We will be staying here again!

Room Tip: Mountain views to the south.

Our first room was full of "stink bugs," but they gave us a new room that was insect free. The hotel was relatively clean and fairly well upkept. The breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. The staff was friendly, even though they did not seem as alarmed about the stink bugs as myself.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Our staff works hard to make sure that each and every guest's stay is as comfortable as can be. Stink bugs, unfortunately, have been a major nuisance in the Smoky Mountain area this past season. We have been working hard with our exterminator team to find ways to keep them outside and for the most part we have won the battle. We are glad that our staff promptly moved you into a room that was satisfactory. We hope that your holidays were very pleasant and that we get to see you again soon!

I stayed 3 nights at the Governor's Inn. The room was very nice, and clean, the breakfast was good, but my favorite part was the staff. Tonique at the front desk was SUPER helpful, giving us directions, answering questions, making suggestions for meals, activities, sights, etc. Our stay would not have been nearly as great had it not been for her. Cierra was also very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend the Governor's Inn to anyone wanting nice accomodations at a reasonable price.
