“Not a Better Value in East TN”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

What can I say, the course is beautiful. Its always in immaculate condition and the staff is very friendly. Locals can play for an unbelievable price, give them a call and they will fill you in. You simply cannot play a nicer course in East TN for what you pay. Heck, you can pay more elsewhere and you still wont play a nicer course. I have played both courses many times. The Highlands is a par 70 and the River is a Par 72. The River is the harder course, it plays almost 7200 yards from the tips. Both courses are very fair from the green tees for everyone else.

You must hit it accurately of the tee, or you are in for a long day. Get there early and hit the practice green...the greens are super fast and will make you sick if you are not prepared or used to it. All you gotta do is line it up and get it going...I love it!

Go play...now.

“Absolutely georgous course”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

Very well maintained greens and fairways. Friendly, courteous staff. Good selection in pro shop. Clean, well maintained restrooms on course. Lots of fun to play the Highlands course. Look forward to playing here again.

“Good Courses”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Played both HIghland & River courses, good layouts, good condition; Highlands is more scenic than River course, both challenging.
Staff friendly & helpful; price of beer = your score is neat idea!

“Great Place to Play Golf.”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Played Sevierville Golf Club at end of March 2012. Absolutely beautiful, even as the Bermuda grass was not quite out of its dormant season yet. Courses were great, and very playable. River Course is mostly wide open with very few trees, but playing from the back tees or even one set of tees forward still requires good shot values. We played with a group of 7 guys, with handicaps ranging from 5 to 25 and tee shots ranging from 300 to 200 yards. Played the Blue Tees (6500 yards) on the River Course, and the Black Tees (the tips, 6200) on the Highlands Course; the courses were fun and challenging for all of our players. The course is continually interesting, with different types of shots required from hole to hole. My favorite stretch was 16, 17, and 18 on the River Course, when the routing turns back toward the clubhouse and the four-story lodge at the resort nextdoor. With the vast, wide open landscape and the large building looming in the distance, this must be something like what it is to turn for home on the Old Course at St. Andrews. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Starter was very scrupulous about groups starting on time, knowing the rules, etc.; second group was not even allowed near the tee while first group was playing. Pace of play was good. Highlands course was more spread out than the river course, winding its way through a moneyed residential area. Was great staying in the Sanctuary Villas (separately owned from the golf club) on the 9th fairway of the Highlands Course; was a great place for stopping off to refill our libations while playing. River Course a bit more compact. Neither course returns to the clubhouse until all 18 holes are played. March green fees to play 36 in a day were $49 including cart for the first 18, and $29 including cart for the second 18; very reasonable for the quality of the courses. We'll return for our guys' golf weekend every year.

“Great way to get away and play some beautiful courses.”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

They have really done a great job of improving an already fun and challenging golf course. Now with two 18 hole courses, River and Highlands, the place is layed out with varying levels of difficulty. Love the views. Brand new clubhouse. Friendly staff. Close to town.
