We've probably been going to this campground for at least 10 years, and it's ALWAYS a pleasure to stay in! The owners and staff are friendly, courteous, and sincerely want their guests to have a great time! The river views and access are superb. Pool, basketball, corn hole, porch swings, children's playground, shade trees, and spotless bath houses. Church services are held at the pavilion Sundays, April thru October. Guests are treated to free bluegrass band performance, hot dogs, and hamburgers after church on every major holiday weekend.

This is a very family oriented campground, and as such, they enforce their rules for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The speed limit is posted as 5 miles per hour for that very reason. There are no firepits at the campsites, but everyone is able to set up their own portable firepit or utilize the lovely stone fireplaces adjacent to the pavilion -- plenty of room for your camp chairs or enjoy the fire from the swings. It's so relaxing!

We stay here often and love it! The staff is outstanding and always willing to help in any way they can. They have a nice pool and restrooms and showers always very clean. Located on the river for fishing if you like. Have caught some nice small mouth bass in the past near and just below the bridge. They have a church service during the warm months which is always nice. They do enforce their rules which are reasonable, especially the speed limit and quite time. Since rates are not listed here, Google them for full details on line and even make on line reservations. They are also members of Good Sam and you can save !0% if you are a member.

Room Tip: If you are an avid WiFi user request a site near one of the towers. The front sites under number 150 are smaller but closer to the pool. Sites 150-194 are back in sites on the river. Sites 234-280 are larger pull through sites and much quitter traffic wise than the front sites.

This campground isn't bad if your not much of a camper. 1. no firepits 2. just a field with a gravel road every 20 foot apart. 3. 5 mile an hour speed limit you have to ride you brake or even coasting will cause you to speed. 4. Ask for an hour late checkout they said only if they charge full price for another night, because they were so busy. When we pulled out there was probably 25 or more sites open. Never had problem getting late checkout on a Sunday at any campground I have stayed at. Would have gladly paid 10 or 15 to get late check out. Won't stay here again!!!

Arrived here for a two night stay. The staff were so pleasant. We were in site 267 which is large enough for any big rig towing without unhooking. The WiFi is very fast and they have cable. None or limited trees in this back area which will enable access to Dish or Direct. Very quiet and very clean. Only 4 miles off of I-40 which is nice. Rte 66 becoming 411 is extremely busy. We have stayed further down the road a few times and the drive is a bit crazy at times. We will definitely stay here again next time. We are in a motorhome.
