“The best fudge in town, lots of jams/jellies/samples/gifts.”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

We visited this store not once, but TWICE during our three day stay recently/December. It's worth the 5-10 minute drive up Wears Valley road ! (Turn right off the parkway in PF onto Wears Valley Road)

Their fudge is AMAZING.We got some our first night in town and we had to go back to get more to take home with us. They DO let you sample before you buy and it is enough of a sample to get a good taste of the product. I read a complaint on TA about the sample sizes. Fudge is expensive to make and they give a LOT of samples out every day. The samples were more than sufficient to taste the product and make a decision.

We bought peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate, orange vanilla, praline and cream, red velvet, and plain chocolate to take home. YUMMMMMMMMMM. Brought it home to family who LOVED it also. They will also ship this fudge !!

I really enjoyed taste testing their wide assortment of jams, jellies, sauces, pickles, relishes, etc. I purchased strawberry rhubarb jelly to take home to my father.

Their selection of souvenirs is some of the nicest "quality" items in the area. Not like the fly by night trinket shops you see on the strip. Beautiful decorations, jewelery, stained glass, shirts, etc.

They also sell homemade candy. The employees were very friendly to us and they were quite busy. Don't forget to say hello to the beautiful koi in the pond outside. :)

“Not worth the trip”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

I read all the reviews and have to figure people lead a sheltered life. The store is not a country store, unless you mean Chinese country store. Overpriced and sourced overseas! Amish style products to sample, except not local, just like the gift items. Please save your money for the local craft stores which feature "true" local made goods.

“Awesome Moonshine Fudge”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

This is our favorite place to purchase fudge. There is none better! They offer several flavors of fudge but there are 2 flavors you won't find anywhere else and it's the Moonshine which is a white fudge topped with maraschino cherries. If I had to compare it to a similar flavor to kind of give you an idea of what it tastes like I would probably say eggnog. The second flavor you won't find anywhere else is the Moonshine Explosion and this is a chocolate fudge topped with maraschino cherries the flavor well all I can say is awesome. Their newest creation is chocolate covered moonshine cherries. These are very unique and you won't find them anywhere else either. If you are looking for some souvenirs they offer a wide variety of t-shirts, hats, mugs, jewelry, stained glass, books and more. They also offer a large selection of regional food items like jams, jellies, chow chow relish, salsa, pickled eggs, pickled vegetables and more. The great part about shopping for food items here is the free samples so you don't have to wonder if you will actually like the product when you get home.

“Nice store but....”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

We made a trip here based on the great Tripadvisor reviews. It is a cute country store with some unique items and displays. The sampling area has a lot of items you would see in Amish Country Ohio but a little pricier. We tried a few samples of fudge....Cappucino was my favorite. The size of the sample given was comical and the lady working the counter was kind of dry. I know they can't give away huge chunks of fudge for free to everyone, but at least give enough so that you can taste it....especially to customers like us who are actually buying as we sample. I also picked up some of my favorite taffy here but was disappointed later to find it hard and almost too tough to chew. I will definitely stick to the places in the area who make their taffy fresh next time. On our way out, we stopped by the cafe. It was 1:00 in the afternoon, the lights were on and it appeared to be open but there was no one working inside. We waited a few minutes and then left.

“One of our favorite shops”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

This is a wonderful place. The gardens out front are just beautiful. The inside of the store is lovely too. Lots of souvenir and gift items, plus a large selection of jams, preserves, salsa, and sauces. They provide samples of all these items, so you will probably end up buying a few. We bought fudge here this time, and it was delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is why we must make a stop at Moonshine Ridge whenever we are in the Smokies.
