Smoky Cove Chalet and Cabin Rentals

We stayed in "Poolin' Around" and couldn't have been more pleased! The people we talked with were excellent, they even went the extra mile looking for a set of keys we thought we left at the cabin. The cabin itself was gorgeous, new, in perfect shape, and everything it was advertised to be. It was a great price somewhat off the main street but close enough to make everything convenient. We would recommend this cabin to anyone and will surely plan our next getaway there!

We stayed in the Smoky Cozy cabin. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The master bedroom was extremely huge! It is right off of the kitchen and I wish they would have made the kitchen larger and the master bedroom much smaller. The kitchen was way too small. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch (extremely peaceful) & the game room. The woods come alive at night with the sounds of nature; I would say that was our favorite part! The pool was fantastic and large and we spent a lot of afternoons at the pool. The pool is a less than 5 minute walk from the cabin as long as you don't mind walking uphill to get back to the cabin. The porch is large enough that even if it rains you are still able to sit outside without getting wet. The resort is out of the city (but not too far) that you avoid traffic. We learned some of the "back roads" to avoid sitting in traffic along the main drag in Pigeon Forge. We would grocery shop early in the morning to avoid traffic because Pigeon Forge becomes VERY congested! We used the charcoal grill quite often which is right off of the porch & kitchen. I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Small Kitchen - Awesome Porch!

We had a terrible experience at Smoky Cove and for this reason we would not recommend this as a good place for a vacation. For a recent vacation we rented four cabins (of various size) for our annual family trip - a significant amount of money considering the current economy and somewhat of a jaunt getting there. The cabins are okay in terms of cleanliness (but read on) and quality of furnishings, but I would not consider them to be of great value as the marketing website states. After our first night stay we had to swap one cabin because of insect bites. The office was difficult to deal with and at first argued with us that it was "our fault". Finally, they admitted there was a problem and told us they were probably flees from a previous renter who should not have had pets. We were never exactly sure if it was flees or something else but it should not have been this way to begin with.

My overall opinion is that these cabins are very over rated on their marketing websites and materials and the management needs to go back to school to learn the meaning of "hospitality". They should also be more responsible in terms of pest control.

The above review was fabricated by an individual who booked a cabin, and then was unable or unwilling to pay for it. When we cancelled the reservation due to non-payment, this individual became very angry and declared that she would "ruin us" by posting negative reviews "all over the internet." This incident was very unpleasant and unfortunate.

My extended family of 7 (all adults) just stayed in the Pinnacle Vista Four at Smoky Cove Resort (April 13-18, 2011). The wonderful cabin was clean, had beautiful decor, was roomy, comfortable and fun. We all enjoyed the games, fireplace, tv's, the hot tub, and the theater room! It is so completely stocked with anything you could possibly need, even down to pens, pads, stapler, etc in the desk! The kitchen was extremely well stocked also! Bring your family and friends, your food...and you won't even have to leave!! The theater room was awesome with it's huge screen and the sound was perfect!! One night of our stay it rained and I can't begin to tell you how pleasant the cabin was even during the rain. The sound of the rain on the roof . . .AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so relaxing. We could even enjoy the hot tub during the rain. The Smoky Cove staff was top notch!

If I had to "complain" about anything...and I really don't because we enjoyed the cabin so much...was one of the theater recliner chairs was broken and would not recline properly, the hot tub cover was a little hard to get off because of space. Other than that it was clean and perfecto!

Went with family on spring break and loved it there. We were excited after seeing pictures of the cabin on the website. We thought it was even better in person and it was hard to beat those great pics! I'm picky and only like to stay places that are really clean, this was tops. The hot tub was awesome and the peaceful area the cabin was in just what we were looking for! Yet it was close to anything you want to go to.Can't wait to go back!

Perfect location and this house was the best ever. Everyone had their own space and each bedroom was like a suite unto itself. The beds are very comfortable, good quality. Smoky Cove definitely has paid attention to detail in the design and furnishing of their cabins. We cooked several meals and everything that we needed was furnished (except the food). I have stayed in cabins all over the Smokies and this was the best. We will return.
