“So much food, so little tummy room! :)”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

At first I was a little put off at the entrée price but then I found that it included soup, salad, mashed potatoes another side of your choice, your meat AND dessert! So for all of the food you're getting it is a great price!! My hubby and I both had "Momma’s Country Meatloaf" and it was really good! We had peach cobbler and chocolate cake for our desserts and they were good as well.

“not worth the money”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

I got the trio which consisted of pot pie fried chicken and noodles. The noodles were good the pot pie was very salty and the fried chicken was not that great. My son got the chicken fried steak and it too was very salty but it was a huge piece. The catfish was rubbery and bland. I would not eat here again.

“Way too pricey! There's no way this is home cookin!”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

All of the vegetables I'm sure are canned... corn, green beans, pinto beans, lima beans, instant mashed potatoes. Pretty sure the veggie soup is canned as well, from Veg-ALL. If you're going to advertise homemade, then make it from scratch!!! False advertising! There's plenty of other restaurants in the area that have WAY better food! Prices are ridiculous too, at least $15 a PLATE-not including your drink. I know it comes with fritters and julep, but that does not make up for the nasty food they serve. Will never be back.

“Homecooked Southern food”
Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

We have enjoyed meals here several times. The food is good old fashioned Southern cooking. Meals come with courses that include their signature apple fritters, soup, apple julep, main course, sides, and dessert. Gluten free menu available. This particular visit was a Sunday afternoon, and they were out of several items, but we both found plenty of other options. A great destination for any Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg trip!

“Must go place when visiting Smoky Mountains”
Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I didn't learn about this place until the day before we were leaving. Te lady that told us about t said it is a "must go" place for them and I agree. Beautiful setting (but very casual), very friendly servers, and great food. On this site there is also a winery, a Christmas shop, two other Applewood eateries, a candy shop, and others. All related. Excellent!
