We took a 2-night trip with all the grandparents and had booked 3 rooms. The staff was very helpful, and managed to get us 3 rooms in a row, on the first floor. Note that the rooms do not have connecting doors, however, but that was OK since we were all next to each other. The grandparents are 75-81 years old, so we were looking for something they would be comfortable for times they stayed back in the room while we went shopping or sightseeing with our 12 year old. I agree with all the other positive reviews written. The hotel is very pretty, clean, quiet, and staffed with friendly and helpful people. It's a little up the road from all the attractions, so we did run into some traffic on Friday night and Saturday to get to various places. The lazy river part of the pool was small but nice for families with children. However, the sides of the pool looked slightly dirty or stained. We did not get a chance to try the indoor pool, but it looked nice also. The continental breakfast is great to have, especially if traveling with other people (so folks can go eat whenever they get up in the morning). Only thing missing from breakfast buffet was yogurt and fresh fruit, and milk or juice was by the glass, but they have refrigerators in the room if you happen to bring your own stuff too. (There is a Kroger's grocery store up the road with good prices...). The rooms had sofas with a coffee table, so that made it extra comfortable to hang out in the rooms. I also liked the fact that there were two sinks with mirrors - one inside the bathroom and a second one in the hallway. That's very helpful when traveling with a family. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and would certainly recommend it to others.

We stayed at this hotel from August 10 - 15 and found the stay to be quite pleasant. I would have to say that the majority of the reviews are right on.

We arrived and found check-in to be simple and fast and that can also be said for check-out. The people of this hotel are some of the friendliest I have ever met in our travels. It really makes you feel welcome and appreciated.

Our room was quite comfortable and well appointed for our family of four. I did read reviews about poor wireless connections but we did not experience this at all. Our connection was fine, but we only used it in our room. Overall the room was clean and well attended to during our stay.

The continental breakfast was just fine and we had no complaints. It saved us from paying $$$ elsewhere as it was free. It included eggs, biscuits & gravy, a rotation of bacon or sausage each day, breads, bagels, cereals, doughnuts, muffins, juice, milk, tea, coffee. They also had microwaves available 24/7.

The hot tub, pools, both indoor and outdoor, and lazy river were all fun, and relaxing. We found all the areas to be clean and in good repair.

The hotel is located north of all the hot spots, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and we found this to be a PLUS.

Overall if we were to stay in this area again we would only choose this hotel, it is fantastic.

We stayed at the Clarion Inn W. R. after considerable reading of the Travel Advisor reviews. The reviews were "spot on". Location was "some distance" from the main attractions (which was quite desirable for us). The Check-In and Check-Out process were painless and the personnel were quite amiable. The Queen room was more than average. The size of the room was excellent and the accomodations were quite nice. No problems were encountered at all with the room. AC was more than adequate....TV was good.....beds were soft (maybe just a tad too soft) but that's not their fault. The continental breakfast was OK. Indeed, there was more than just coffee and donuts. The milk was the coldest I've ever had but the biscuits and gravy were just OK. After the long drive, we relaxed in the "lazy river". It was perfect for just winding down. Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay and would definitely do again. The place was really "quite nice"!

This is a great hotel, four miles from the major congestion that is Rte. 66 in Pigeon Forge. This place is between I-40 and Pigeon Forge. If I were going to return to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, I would stay on this end of the area - and only at this hotel. Down the main drag of Rte. 66 is a zoo and tourist trap. Hundreds of hotels, restaurants, games, amusements, and kitschy touristy shops. Just what a tourist wants during the day. However, at rest, I want a nice, clean hotel.

This place is just that - a nice respite from a long day. Very clean, well-maintained, and great staff. All of the good reviews are right.

My only irritant is their wireless connection - it is lousy. Non-existent and more of an aggravation than anything. I picked up my laptop and tried to get a signal in the lobby, the breakfast area, and the opposite end of the hallway. No luck. It was like having dial-up. The only place I found decent reception was in the laundry room! Oh yes, this hotel offers a washer and a dryer. Big plus in my book. The laundry room too was well kept and immaculate.

If it were not for our need to find directions and hotels in Nashville (our next stop), I would not have been so needy of an internet connection. You see, we had planned to stay in this area all week, and booked a cabin for the vacation. That didn't turn out as planned and after driving 9 hours to get there, finding our accommodations were far less than advertised, we wanted to get a hotel for the night and get moving in another direction to salvage the vacation.

This hotel was a redeeming quality to a very long and exhausting day. I am ever thankful to have come upon it.

We booked this hotel on Priceline and for $45 a night, it couldn't be beat. The continental breakfast was way more than just donuts and coffee. We had scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, packs of grits or oatmeal, cereals, muffins, biscuits and gravy, 2 types of juices, milk, coffee, or tea from which to choose.

The room was very clean, and the towels were soft and fluffy. The only thing that we would have liked would have been adult hours for the hottub. We went at 11:30 one night and 10:30 the next and kids were in it. We'd like adult hours from maybe 8 or 9p.m. I like kids (in fact, I'm a school teacher), but they can be happy in the pool anytime. We liked the fact that the indoor pool and hottub were open 24 hours.

We were able to warm up our leftover dinner in the microwaves in the breakfast area.

We had a reservation in Sevierville, but came in a day early and were looking for a place to stay for one night. We stopped at the Clarion Inn Willow River and we enjoyed it so much that night that after 2 nights at the hotel where we had reservations, we checked out and went back to the Clarion for the remainder of our stay! It is patterned after an old Southern mansion, and there are pictures and reminders of Scarlett and Rhett in Gone With the Wind everywhere in the lobby and breakfast room. The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious - we had two queen beds and a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, writing table and two chairs - all this in a standard room. The bathroom was large enough, nothing fancy, but also there was an extra sink outside of the bathroom. The room also had a refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The best part was the balcony - we got a room in the back overlooking the river and the weeping willow trees along the bank. Very peaceful. The breakfast was plentiful, with cereals, bagels, donuts, eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy...The real highlight of our stay for me was the lazy river! This in addition to an inside and outside pool and an inside whirlpool. Loved floating on that lazy river. We would absolutely stay here again. Its a little drive into town, but if that is not a problem, then try this hotel. The desk clerk told us that people come back to their hotel again and again. I can see why.
