This Cabin was great! The view was very nice! The drive to the cabin was the scariest thing ever.. It was so bad my guests and I were afraid to drive back down that night after arrival! The only problem we had with the cabin was once we tried to shower all of the water was black.. Maintenance came by and stated they were having an issue.. They then offered us to move to another cabin and gave us a great incentive for the hassle! Overall the stay was great and the view was one to remember!!
This cabin is over all amazing. It was clean, well stocked with everything we needed for the week as a family of 4, and huge! We could have easily had several more people stay with us and still be perfectly comfortable. Our only complaint with the cabin itself was that there were several missing and burnt out light bulbs but we left a note for the cleaning crew and assume it will be fixed. The cabin even comes with nightlights which is great for kids in a new place :)
The cabin is less than 10 minutes from the parkway in Pigeon Forge and besides the last 1/4 of a mile a very easy and pleasant drive. When you turn onto Rising Fawn Way it starts to get a little steep and the road was very rough and washed out but not horrible. Then you take a tight left onto Quail Run Way- the road was just wide enough for our full sized Dodge Ram pickup and there is a blind curve before you get to the straight stretch to the 4 cabins on this road (thankfully we never met another car headed the other direction). To the left of the road is huge steep valley- at least a 50 foot drop off and the road is very steep. Tip Top View is the 3rd cabin on this road and the driveway is about a 50 degree turn to the right- a turn that our truck could not make. We ended up having to drive past and then back all the way up the insanely steep curving driveway. Then trying to turn out of the driveway to leave was equally terrifying because the road was not wide enough to make the turn- meaning we had to pull to the end of the steep drop, and attempt to back up while the truck was at a crazy angle! If we hadn't had 4WD we would not have made it. Now try all that when it was pouring rain! Truly terrifying although once hubby got used to it he said it wasn't too bad. I can't imagine that the drive would be possible if there was a slight frost and the road is even a little bit slick.
One interested thing we found at the cabin was a group of raccoons that came to catch moths at dusk everynight. I know you aren't supposed to feed the wildlife but these were obviously very familiar with humans as the one came right up to the hot tub and looked over at me while I was in it! He was particularly friendly and would eat food out of our hands. My daughters were sad to leave because they said they would miss him the most!
The views of this cabin were exactly what we were looking for. The sunrises every morning were absolutely breath taking! The pool table was fun & the hot tub relaxing. We had an amazing vacation in part to this amazing cabin. If not for the drive to the cabin, we would definitely stay there again!
Upon entering this cabin there was definitely a WOW factor! The cabin was nicely decorated with many special touches. The view was spectacular. The master bedroom view is breathtaking. My only concern was the housekeeping. It seemed as though the sheets were not changed after the prior guests checked out. As I was doing a routine bedbug check (there were none) I did come across extremely disgusting and crusted on nasal mucous on one of the sheets. It was gross.
