“Great Experience”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

In my travels, I don't often stay at Bed & Breakfast. However in the last 5 months I have stayed in a couple. None of them come close to Armour's. Debbie the owner is an incredible cook.. and I eat out 3 meals a day 3-4 days a week. I know a good meal when I find one. When I checked out the Armour, I left my cell phone charger on the bed side table. Dennis, the owner knew I was working with a client 10 miles away. He brought the charger to the company, so that I would have it when I went to the airport that evening,...that is great service. The best part they treat you like family.

Room Tip: They have two suites, they have a living room and TV, and they have a door that gives you access to...

we found this historic part of Tennessee by staying off the interstate highways and wandering the back roads. After reading Blue Highways this is our preferred way to travel. We had no reservation and we were lost, looking for lodging we found signs for Historic Hotels, we found ourselves at the Armour's Hotel. We were warmly greeted, given a tour and a choice of rooms and served a welcome glass of wine. After a delicious dinner cooked by the innkeeper we were free to nestle into comfortable chairs and read our favorite books. We only stayed one night, but we discovered a destination we want to return to often.
There are 3 hotels in Red Bubbling Springs, all that remains from the 1900 when "taking the waters" was the only National Health Care available. Armour's has the original bath and rooms where you can experience "Water therapy". The hotel is older but clean and maintained and functional. If you need anything Debbie and Dennis will try to accommodate you. Breakfast comes with your room rate, but dinner will be cooked at a very reasonable price if you wish. The halls, parlors, and porches are for reading, relaxing, visiting and un-stressing. You can arrange for a massage and a hot springs soak if you wish. We are two retired adults and we travel 4 months out of the year. We cannot stop talking about our good experience and we recommend you find your way to Red Boiling Springs. The dining room often serves as a theater for music groups, if your lucky you can find entertainment. This is a unique hotel and Debbie and Dennis are responsive innkeepers.

Room Tip: No swimming pool, no fitness center. Just an opportunity to feel like a step back in time. Imagine...

I travel to Middle Tennessee on business occasionally and have made it a point to stay at Armour's Hotel since discovering it earlier this year. The owners Dennis and Debbie are literally some of the nicest and genuine folks you could ever hope to meet (which is saying something for a region known for its southern hospitality). As so many of the other reviews have said, they are incredibly accomodating and it really feels more like staying with family (those family members you actually like, that is) than in a hotel. The food is excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the rooms are comfortable. The decor of the hotel embraces the rich history of Red Boiling Springs and staying here makes you long for simpler times (although WiFi is available). I would highly recommend Armour's Hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms are themed and their are two suites that are larger than other rooms. Be sure to get the...

I stayed here with a companion for a wedding in the area. She is an increadible woman and I was hoping for nothing less than a completely charming B&B experience for her. This was it. The building itself is slowly getting renovated because it's an older building but it is very quaint and the owners and staff are as nice as can be. The food is to die for. There are bathrooms in each room and TV's. Totally romantic. Front porch faces a church and behind that a giant hill covered with beautiful trees. We were just there and it was fall and we just sat on that porch together for hours, talked and watched the leaves fall. My first B&B experience and it was fantastic. If your looking for a little place to get romantic, this is a nice pick.

Room Tip: We were in 27. Has a seperate living room, bathroom with shower and bedroom. And it's upstairs a...

We had a family wedding in the area and many members of our family stayed here and had such a wonderful experience! Dennis and Debbie are fabulous hosts, making you feel so welcome and cared for. We had one of the suites and it was so lovely and decorated so beautifully. bathrooms can be small in some of the rooms but is part of the quaintness here. This hotel has a great history w/it's mineral baths etc. Had a wonderfully relaxing massage, enjoyed their yummy country breakfasts (amazing bisquits and bacon!), had a family style dinner (wedding rehearsal dinner held here) that was to die for!, enjoyed the porches and swings (Fire pit in the back!), the historic area, the creek, local park, covered bridges, everyone was so nice. We checked out the other two historic hotels/B and B's on this Main St. and hands down this one is the best. Many couples we met there just come for the peace and quiet. Amen to that! Go and be pampered and tip well. They truly deserve it.

Room Tip: 2 upstairs suites are obviously larger and have 2nd floor patio access directly from the suite. Ro...

We checked in late, but the owner was still smiling when we got there. She took us on a tour of the upstairs & showed us where to get drinks. We spent a while winding down on the covered porch upstairs, swinging & reading, listening to the creek run & rain hit the tin roof. We stayed in the rose room with a king bed. The rooms are small, but really you won't want to spend your time in there but rather enjoying the many sitting areas & porches. The owners & family were so nice & accommodating. We will go back for a quiet get away many times!
