The resort is gated but it was never closed. The pools are located where the gate is and anyone can get in it. There was a snake in the pool our second day there and millipedes everywhere. There were no lights on in the outdoor pool and it was open until 11pm so that made no sense. The indoor pool had a lot of chemicals in it and it burned your eyes. There is no office at the resort or if there is there is not a clear way to find it. I decided on the cabin we picked due to the fact that there was putt putt, but I was very disappointed with the course. There were only 9 holes and the lights were never on at night so you could not play then. It rained and the course had standing water and debris that was never cleaned off. The cabins are very close to each other but that was not really an issue. The view from our cabin was not of the Great Smoky Mountains but a smaller mountain. The resort is not too far from town.
