The cabin was a place for our family to come from multiple states and get away together. While it started out as an opportunity to disconnect, it ended up being a place where we never felt more connected! The cabin is designed so 4-5 families can be really comfortable, offering plenty of space for everyone to have their own retreat and little things like an ensuite bathroom in each bedroom, balcony access from each suite, multiple gas fireplaces, and independent thermostats near every room made everyone feel right at home. There were at least 3 pullout couches so the kids could camp out in common spaces, and the cabin has an alarm system so we could monitor any kids trying to leave the house (not that they did!). There was a beautiful game room with a pool table and the cabin also had a washer and dryer, full size, which was really convenient. The balconies were perfect and the wood features throughout included animal carvings, which was a very nice touch. We all enjoyed sun rises and sun sets from the cabin porches, and the views from that height on the mountain were breathtaking. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prep food for 7 days, and aside form a few lady bugs in the upstairs bedrooms and internet connection challenges (it worked on day 1, then no one could connect to it - not that we cared much though) we had no complaints about the cabin. There was even a hot tub outside that was amazing to sit in at night and over look the city below and the stars above! Definitely recommend for any family, whether yours is the "glamping" type or you like to rough it a bit, this location will be perfect. Lots of hiking trails nearby, fun stuff like zip-lining and horseback riding, plenty of family friendly things to do and places to shop in the nearby town, and no shortage of restaurants and entertainment shows. We plan to go back for another holiday and highly suggest anyone consider this place for a mountain getaway!
Hard to know where to begin when you have such a great place to stay at - the cabin was beautiful - we had 8 people staying there and we had plenty of space to spread out - everything was great - well stocked kitchen to prepare meals in - charcoal grill to cook out on - plenty of room to all hang out in the living room or one of the many expansive decks around the house - bedrooms were all separated across the house from each other so you had your privacy - the bathrooms in each bedroom were excellent - game room downstairs to play in when we had brief rain showers during the day - great views of the Smokey Mountains from anywhere around the house - hot tub outside to relax in after a long day of exploring Tennessee - gorgeous sunrises and sunsets - we even got to watch a storm in the distance build and roll in over the mountains - and had a special visit twice by a black bear off the back deck in the evenings - you are on top of a mountain so the drive can be a little tricky but with the newly paved road up the mountain it is pretty smooth - highly recommend staying here - you will not be disappointed - and the owners are great to work with - very responsive to your requests - I would stay here again !!!!!
