“Quiet, relaxing, roomy and overlooks the Parkway.”
Reviewed April 20, 2011

We've been traveling to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for over 40 years so we have considerable knowledge of the area, lodging, and attractions. This was the first time we stayed at Whispering Pines, but will not be the last. The staff was helpful and courteous from the time I called to reserve a condo until we checked out. We traveled with three granddaughters, two of whom were teens and one was a pre-teen. The two-bedroom condo provided plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Having two bathrooms was wonderful. We had a full-size kitchen and living room and tvs in both bedrooms and living room. The living room had a pull-out sofa bed and three recliners. The unit was decorated and felt like home. Comfortable beds made sleeping great. We enjoyed having breakfast on the ample balcony which had not only a table and chairs but two rockers. Our unit was classified as handicapped but the one draw back of the condo was that the tub was not handicap accessible. The grab bars were not located where they could be reached and the tub was was too deep and wide . Although a shower stool was provided, I found it nearly impossible to get into the shower and in fact, severely bruised my leg while attempting to climb over the edge of the tub. The other bathtub was too narrow for the shower stool. Placement of the grab bars was definitely not designed by anyone familiar with handicap needs. Otherwise, the condo was fine for those of us who are handicapped. We will be returning to Whispering Pines. Kids enjoyed outdoor pool and lazy river. Indoor pool is under construction.

As a person who visits the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area regularly with my family, Whispering Pines has always been our condo of choice. So when it came time for me to plan a trip to this special location with my fiancee, I had only one question - how soon can I book my stay? From making reservations where we were offered the June special (stay three nights get one night free) to the relaxation and comfort our room provided, I never want to stay anywhere else. The noise level is minimal, the beds are large and comfy, and the full kitchen is perfect for couples that want to save a little cash by cooking. We originally had our hearts set on a one bedroom but upgraded to a two when we found out the extra room and bathroom were not that much more. The best part? We got a hot tub in the master bedroom. Perfect for a couple looking to share a little romance in the smoky mountains. To the wonderfully helpful and friendly staff at Whispering Pines, I assure you that we'll see you this summer! Thanks again for the wonderful vacation.

This was our second stay with Whispering Pines and I doubt that we will ever stay at another place. We stayed in the "five" building on the back of the complex. We had great mountain views. We couldn't tell that we were in the middle of town. Whispering Pines is convenient to everything that we like to do while in the Great Smoky Mountain area. The rooms were great and they had free WiFi as well as wired internet. All of the facilities are great and so was the staff. We will certainly be back to Whispering Pines.

We have stayed at Whispering Pines Condos several times and have never been disappointed. They are always clean, the staff is wonderful, and we love the location. You are close to the activities in Pigeon Forge, but the condos are quiet and relaxing. We have stayed at 2 and 3 bedroom units and have been happy with both. The children love the pool and lazy river. We feel these condos are the perfect place for our family and the price is very reasonable.

Stayed at the Whispering Pines Condos buildings facing the city unit 133 on the third floor and it was great! It was a two bedroom unit with a nice sleeper sofa. Both bedroom had king size beds with TVs, the balcony (which looked down on Pigeon Forge) had a very nice swing and patio table & chairs. It was a fantastic place to stay. It was super clean, right in town, and the pool area looked really nice- they had a pool and a lazy river, we didn't use it was cold!!! Overall, we had no complaints and the kids loved it!

We stayed here five nights first week of August. Stayed in building 4 second floor 2 bedroom. All I can say is defiantly worth the money! Had our 2 year old grandson with us and he had plenty of room to run and play. Usually we stay at a motel but thought about trying this because of number of nights, size of room with full kitchen and in-room washer and dryer. When we checked in asked for crib for our grandson, before we could unpack they brought it up. It was August and hot, 99 degrees one day but each unit has its own AC and heat unit, stayed cool the whole time. I've stayed in nice motels and had to buy fans to stay cool. Each room also had ceiling fans. Beds were comfy and big. Flat screen TV in living area and TV's in each bedroom. Full size refrigerator and range. It was quiet at night and off the main drag maybe one block. The only problem, kind of hard to get to because no traffic light at this intersection, had to go up to the next traffic light and turn around when roads were busy. Close to Old Mill, Dixie Stampede and Dollywood Lane. Will definitely stay here again late Fall and future visits. A lot better than staying at a Motel!!

We stayed at Whispering Pines condos with our grandson and enjoyed every minute of the condo, pool, hot tub and river pool. The condo itself was very nice, clean. Great mountain views. A very quiet setting for older folks too, if you like kids. Clean, clean, and clean!! It was nicer than expected. I had read some reviews and was wondering how the condo and resort was going to meet my expectations. It was located just up the hill and had great views of the mountains and very quiet at night.
