YES, we had purchased the sample pkg. but were very impressed with the lay out of the resort . An the room were very nice an clean It had very thing we needed. Yes we heard the nieghbor going up an down the stair. The "bears" (GARBAGE PICK UP) but that didn't ruin our week there. Oh WE ALL CAN alwaysFIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH A PLACE; BUT THEN YOUR OWN HOME ISN'T prefect.

We stayed at Laurel Crest for 5 days. The first evening we decided to take a quick swim in the pool located at the back of the resort. My six-year daughter needed to you the restroom so instead of returning to our condo, we stopped into the pool's restroom. The door leaned on the frame so I used a little force to close the door. The bathroom was very hot and had no windows. When my daughter finished doing her business, I tried to open the door but it was jammed shut. My daughter & I proceeded to pound and kick the door until someone at the pool finally heard us. This woman had to KICK the door in with her foot! We immediately contacted the front desk who sent a maintenance worker. The man walked up to the door, looked at it and walked away. Every day we checked the door until we left - it was never fixed. We contacted the management of Laurel Crest and the facilities owner - Blue Green Resorts, and no one bothered to contact us. My recommendation is to stay away from this resort!

We were very unimpressed with Laurel Crest. The room was filthy from black dirt on top of the fridge, the unclean bathroom and food and sticks found under the sofa bed mattress. The fridge, blender and tv remote did not work. When we complained, we were told the maid was probably a relative of the supervisor and that is why the room was not clean. We were also told that since Laurel Crest rents to non-Bluegreen members, that they have no control when guests do not take care of equipment.

The staff was friendly, but could not answer any questions about the resort or the area. They always had to call someone else, or could not give an answer at all. When the sofa bed was out, the dining table had to be pushed all the way against the wall and the chairs stacked in order to get to the other side of the bed.

Because they allow non-owners to rent by the night, there was trash left outside many rooms by people who did not feel like taking it to the dumpsters. This trash was left for several days and attracted a host of flies and made the elevators stink.

Our time share salesperson pretty much summed up Laurel Crest for us in stating, "Laurel Crest is the armpit of the Bluegreen Properties".

Although we did not like the town of Pigeon Forge we enjoyed staying at this resort. This was our first stay using our time share exchange and we will never be able to go back to vacationing in hotels with our 2 children. The resort was clean, had friendly staff, and was peaceful. Our kids enjoyed playing the pool every day and in the evening hours catching lightning bugs. The location was close enough to do what we wanted in the National Forest but also far enough away from the "strip" in Pigeon Forge that you didn't feel like you were in a tourist mecca. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a place to stay where you can get away from the business that is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN.

This was my husband and my first stay at a Bluegreen restort and it left a bad taste. We were given the smallest room and bother of us being tall people it was cramped. They promised an upgrade but it was only if we agreed to be move two or three times. We were having problem with the guest above us and because it wasn't " quite time " which began at 10pm they did nothing about the problem. Before we could get settled into our room the salesmen form the company called to sell us on the palce...we made our complaint to them and they apolgized for not giving us the proper time and that was very nice of them. Other wise the resort was a great location to all the atrractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and surrounding cities and that was awesome conconsidered the gas prices. The rooms were very clean....the staff we came in contact with ( housekeeping, maintenance, and Bluegreen Resort sales staff ) other than front desk about our neighbor problem were awesome and we give them high makes and they all . If we chose to stay in the area again we will be at another restort that fixes the problem when we ask and not when its " quite time."
