“We will be back...eventually.”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. The first time, we had two little kids; this time our kids' ages are 7, 5, and 2. We booked a room that was supposed to sleep 6 adults; two queen beds and a pull-out couch. The room we were given was absolutely PERFECT! It was sooo roomy, which we needed with 3 kids running around. We never really felt like we were bumping into each other. I loved it. Room was clean and up to date.

Our room happened to have a balcony. I'm sure that when The Park Tower Inn was built, the balcony pickets were built to code and spaced appropriately. However, I wouldn't let my two youngest out there. It was really scary; it looked like they could fall right through. Once again, they are probably up to code, but if you have a kid under the age of 7 or 8, I'd opt against the balcony just for peace of mind. Otherwise, it can be pretty nice (see pic). I would spend a little time out here after everyone went to bed.

The continental breakfast was quite the carb-fest, but wasn't bad. I think I grew a little weary of it after day four. It was always plenty stocked and clean.

Pools: We always go on vacation in May before the tourist season hits, so we aren't there when it's terribly crowded. The pools are small and ok for kids. They were clean and chemicals were balanced. Don't go here if you are looking to do laps, but they were fun to relax in. The indoor hot tub had a rather sandy bottom (probably due to the sand filters), but it was ok. Kids loved it. I absolutely love it that the outdoor pool is heated, so folks don't have to wait till the temps are in the 90's to enjoy it. It was great!

In essence, this is the best bang-for-the-buck in terms of hotels. There's no massive water park, no dinner mints on the pillow, etc. However, this is a great place to stay for your average person who needs to get out of town for a few nights.

The staff was helpful and friendly, and there's a really good chance that we will be back! :)

This makes the 2nd year we have stayed at Park tower. The rooms are bigger than most hotels and always clean. The hotel staff are always helpful and nice. Great lazy river and small game room(esp. for rainy days). Great hotel for anyone. Great location on parkway.

One of my co-workers and my aunt and uncle had suggested this hotel, so we decided to give it a try and was very surprised. They room was very clean and a little bigger than some of the newer hotels. If you like waffles, toast, bagels, dry cereal for breakfast then you will not be disappointed. We only went to the indoor pool, hot tub, lazy river and the kids loved it. This hotel is great for the price and in walking distance to a Pancake house and a TJI Fridays. We will be staying here again.

Room Tip: We were on the side facing the Great Smokies, loved the view.

We found the Park Tower after a couple of very dirty hotels in the area about 20 years ago. We have returned almost yearly since and stay here every time. The prices are very reasonable, and the rooms are ALWAYS CLEAN!!! We typically eat breakfast out, but if you just want some cereal or toast and bagel, it's is complimentary in the breakfast room. The 6th floor had been renovated on our stay last October and was beautiful. We ended up on a lower floor this time due to booking too late to get a top floor mountain facing room (our usual request). Quiet as it is a block off the parkway as well. Will continue to stay here for all future visits.

I visit Pigeon Forge generally about once a year. . Up until 5 years ago, I always just stayed at whatever hotel was cheapest when I went. 5 years ago, that hotel was the Park Tower and it has been my go-to hotel since. Completely affordable and amazingly clean. The indoor pool, hot tub, and lazy river are awesome added bonuses and the breakfast helps too. We just got back from Pigeon Forge today and stayed with the Park Tower. We were on the 6th floor this time with an awesome view. We were having so much fun that we extended our stay by a day. Hotel was quick to accommodate the change. 6th floor rooms are renovated I think. Overall, great stay and highly recommended.

Room Tip: 6th floor rooms are amazing
