“A Must-Eat in Pigeon Forge! Just Delicious...”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

Don't let the crowds or wait scare you off, this place knows how to serve a packed restaurant quickly! We didn't arrive at the restaurant until after 8 and had a 45 minute wait but kept ourselves busy shopping at the sister stores, which all have speaker systems linked in announcing when tables are ready. Once inside, our server Justyna was super, with a big smile on her face and making sure we always had what we needed. Even though it was very busy, our food was out in about 15 minutes. The kids loved their staples, grilled cheese and chicken strips and our adult plates of pork chops and chicken pot pie were yummy. Dessert comes with each meal and even though they are known for Pecan Pie, I tried the Banana Pudding and was not disappointed - Homemade, light and fluffy. We left full and happy after this great experience.

“Great southern food and service”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I had dinner at 6:00 pm on Thursday nite. They said 30 minute wait but it was 10. Our waitress Janine was very friendly and really hustled to get our food fast. Every meal comes with a delicious corn chowder, salad with choice of dressing, beans with chunks of ham , mashed potato, corn fritters, rolls and butter and choice of dessert. My husband had trout and I had fried chicken. Both were good and I took leftovers home to our timeshare. We both had the blackberry cobbler which comes with ice cream. All the above is included in the price. Add unlimited soft drinks for us and the bill before tip was $48. Great deal on delicious food in a historic atmosphere.

“Rushed and touristy, nothing special”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

We went for dinner while staying in the area last week. We waited for about 45 minutes for which was no big deal as we walked around in the general store next door. People talk about this place like its the best meal they ever ate but I disagree.

Our waitress was very sweet but we all felt very rushed. We were not even done with our soup when the dinner plates were put on the table and that left no room for our soup bowls or salad dishes. They give you a ton of food for the money but we all felt that the quality of the food was no better than a Cracker Barrell or Bob Evans. Its Southern food but nothing special.

This is a touristy place that caters to visitors and I can bet that no native local ever steps foot near the door. I have crossed it off the list and will not be back if in the area.

Try Elvira's in Townsend for true Southern food for half the price and no wait! We were much more impressed with her menu.

“You just can't beat the Old Mill!”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

Outstanding food. Old historic setting. You just can't beat it! This is our second trip to the area, with many years between, and it's just as good as it was years ago.
