Great home cooking and huge portions! Good prices too. Had the turkey and dressing that was so good!

On our first night in town, we had dinner at the Old Mill. I've eaten there many times and the food has always been wonderful. On this occasion, we ordered steaks. OMG!!! They were amazing!! They were cooked to perfection, exactly the way we requested. If you've never eaten here, be warned...you better come hungry. In addition to your entrée, dinners are served with a choice of potato, green beans, a salad, fritters, a roll and your choice of dessert. There isn't a bad selection in the bunch!

However, that being said, let me add, that while on this trip, we decided to have breakfast at the Old Mill as well. It was a first for me. The service was as wonderful as ever. Our server was a beautiful young lady from Russia. Sadly, my friend and I found the food to be rather tasteless. The grits were very bland, with little taste. Salt & pepper didn't improve it much either. The gravy seemed to have a hint of smoke added. The pancakes were even tough. The sausage was very good. So good, in fact, that we asked if it was made in house. While the meal wasn't inedible, there are too many wonderful restaurants to return for a morning meal.

WONDERFUL country cooking with unlimited sides and great variety. Really hit the spot for us and it was the best meal I've ever eaten in two trips to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Really enjoyed the family style service and everything was just right! The wait wasn't long and aside from having a fussy two-year old, it was great! Save room for dessert and don't plan much of anything more strenuous than a nap afterwards!

My husband and I went here for lunch after the rest of the family left for home. Our meal was very good. The waitstaff were very friendly. This place has lots of neat little shops to look at. We would definitely recommend it.

We went late one night and had a 45 minute wait. During that time you can shop around the area shops and still hear your name through the PA system. We did that and it made the wait go by fast. Once inside, it was still packed at 9:00 p.m. at night. The food is served in very generous portions and we went away stuffed. You might want to plan to take a doggie bag home as you could easily make two meals out of what they serve you. It was our most expensive meal of the week we spent in the Smokies; however, it was well worth it as everyone enjoyed their meals. Most meals come with hush puppies, bread, soup, salad, green beans and dessert and you pick your meat and starch from a variety of menu options. It''s the place to dine when in Pigeon Forge. They have a kid's menu too, but those meals come with less stuff.
