We have stayed at James Manor 3 times in the last month. We live just hours away but LOVE Pigeon Forge!! The first time we were welcomed by Kim and she was awesome. She was very polite and friendly. Breakfast was okay, it could have been better. The waffles were thawed out and the bread was stale:-( My kids loved the pool and I enjoyed the hot tub. The next weekend my husband and I decided to come Christmas shopping at the last minute. The mountain (Newfound Gap) was closed so we had to go thru the gorge and we arrived at the hotel late. When we got there, no one was at the front desk, my husband walked all over the bottom floor looking for someone to check us in. There was a man asleep in the recliner in the front. I kept calling and calling the main number trying to get some one to pick up. After about 10 minutes or so I had to physically go wake the guy up in the recliner to check us in. Not trying to get anybody in trouble BUT that to me isn't safe at all to have the doors open and yet be asleep on the job:-( This past weekend we decided to bring the kids back over there and once again we were greeted by Kim (she is awesome)!!! We loved our King room with a fireplace:-) However, we were disappointed when there was no kind of breakfast except donuts:-( Yall have clean and comfortable rooms, a nice pool and hot tub, and friendly staff. The only thing I can think of changing is not making people turn in there pool towels at the front desk (the hall and elevator's are cold when leaving the nice warm pool) and a better breakfast. Maybe yall could look into purchasing a waffle maker. Overall we LOVE the James Manor and will definitely be back probably this weekend or next. Thanks for making a comfortable, clean, and friendly hotel affordable in Pigeon Forge, TN.
