stayed at the colonial house motel in pigeon forge tn recently in May, 2011. the reviews I had looked are correct. this was a pleasant experience. check in took about 2 minutes as prior on-line registration was done..the clerk had our card keys ready, swiped my credit card, told us where our room was located, and we rolled out of the office. rooms are not the MGM type like Vegas but they are clean and functional. the value was there. good location and good parking. no complaints at all.

It is a shame when you pay to stay at a motel and feel like your valuables are locked up safely in your room, when in fact you come back to find that all of your money and credit cards have been taken by the motel staff. When talking to the front desk about the situation, they said that there was nothing that they could do. I think that it is a shame that there is not any better security to that facility that they couldn't track who had came in and out of the room while we were gone. I advise you not to stay at this motel because you will be very disappointed in both the cleanliness and the service. I will never stay at this place again!!!!

My husband and I just returned from a four day vacation in Pigeon Forge and we stayed at the Colonia House Motel. I had read the reviews before we booked but was still a little skeptical. There was no need to be skeptical though. This motel was awesome. Kent had us checked in within moments of our arrival ( we arrived about an hour and a half before check in ). The room was lovely. We had a king bed with jacuzzi and a private balcony overlooking the Little Pigeon River. There was a micowave, fridge, blowdyer, and iron and ironing board in our room. No coffeemaker, but that's okay, we took our own. The bathroom was a bit small but we didn't mind. The mattress and pillows were "Out of this world", so soft and comfy. Our housekeeper, Judy, did a great job, our room was always very clean.. There was an ice machine and soda machine on all three floors. They serve continental breakfast, although we never ate there. There is an outdoor pool, which was closed because it was still cool outside, but they have an indoor pool and hot tub, which looked very clean ( we never used them, we had our jacuzzi). Everyone was so friendly. The motel is located withing walking distance to resturants, shopping, attractions, etc. I highly recommend visiting the Titanic Museum and the Old Mill while you're here and also, eat at Corky's BBQ, they are delicious and affordable.

We were provided with great service when checking in and out of the hotel. Our room was a king with jacuzzi and fireplace on the 2nd floor with a private balcony overlooking the street. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will return on our next trip.

Made reservations at Colonial House because of the great prices. Because of the great prices, we were a little worried about what we would find when we actually got to the motel. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Excellent staff, including an awesome housekeeper. The rooms were very updated and extremely clean as was the outside of the establishment. I can not say enough about this place. It was quiet although centrally located on the parkway in Pigeon Forge. Wow is the only word to describe it. If you like good BBQ, try Corky's across the street. If you are up for some delish catfish, try Huck Finn's across the street.
