The overall experience of staying here was quite disheartening, considering we had meticulously looked for a place in pigeon forge to spend a weekend relaxing with a nice waterpark/pool area for our baby and toddler. Based on the pictures and reviews from various sites it looked like a great place & a fairly good value with the "waterpark" and free buffet breakfast everyday. For anyone interested in staying here, be aware that the pictures and descriptions of this hotel are very misleading.
Upon arriving, my husband and I quickly noticed that the front desk people need to be trained a little bit more in friendliness. While they were professional, it was one of those things where everything they said or did was simply going through the motions. Not once when I went to the front desk did they greet me, but they always just looked up waiting for me to state what I needed or wanted so they could get on to the next person. ( It was not crowded at all, so that wasn't the issue) I feel this is rude, considering we are paying a lot of money to stay there.
The room we stayed in was a premier king waterpark view room with Jacuzzi. On the positive side, the room was large and the in room Jacuzzi was very nice. The bathroom with a separate dressing area was nice as well, and there was a lot of space to store extra items you brought with you. On the negative side, the furniture and décor was pretty dated, and they only had feather pillows which were not comfortable to sleep on. I feel they should at least offer you the choice of regular or feather pillows. Oh and the free Wi-Fi, don't count on it. It took me an hour to order a pizza online due to the sucky internet, so wouldn't recommend this place if you need internet access.
The most disappointing items for this stay, was the so-called waterpark and buffet breakfast. First of all, the fact that they can even get away with calling their pool area a waterpark is such a joke. They had one large pool with one slide, a small lazy river, a 1 foot kids pool area with a mushroom sprinkler, and an indoor "heated" pool and Jacuzzi. This all sounds great, but in reality it definitely needed updating, wasn't that clean, and the indoor "heated" pool was freezing. Like I said before, the pictures are very misleading.
As for the breakfast, I thoroughly enjoyed eating frozen biscuits, canned gravy, powder eggs, microwaveable bacon, and store bought pastries. They also had your typical breakfast items such as cereal, fruit, yogurt, and juices. Sorry but when they said it was going to be a buffet breakfast this was not what I envisioned. Again, it wouldn't have been that bad, if they hadn't advertised it like it was something high, mighty, and wonderful.
All in all, a disappointing stay and I am pretty sure we will not stay here again. You live and you learn I guess.
