Dear Tammy,

Thank you for your review of our property. We are pleased that you have chosen to stay with us again this year. We hoped you liked the brand new, handcrafted wood furniture. We worked with a local father & son operated furniture company in a nearby town and they did an outstanding job. Let us know if there is anything that we can do to make your stay more pleasant.

Yours in hospitality,

We always stay here while enjoying January's Wilderness Wildlife Week in the on-site conference center. Rates are competitive and the accomedations are very comfortable. The best rooms are facing the river and Mt. LeConte. Of course, the higher floors afford the best views.

We love the Music Road Hotel. This was our second stay there, but our first in the family suite. The suite was very spacious and clean. It had a huge balcony, which we enjoyed. I would suggest asking for a higher floor next time. We were on a lower floor and had a view of the roof on one side of the balcony, but had a view of the river on the other side. My kids love the game room and the indoor pool. The main reason I didn't give it a perfect rating was because we had air conditioning issues as soon as we arrived and we arrived later in the evening and didn't want to have to deal with that as soon as we checked in. I will say that the staff there took care of the problem right away, but when we got back to our room after a late dinner (due to dealing with the air issues) the new unit that they put in still didn't work right. They brought a new unit the next morning, but I didn't sleep at all that night because it was too stuffy in the room from the air not working correctly. Although their service was top notch about the issue, I feel that we should have been offered at least a discount on that one night and we weren't. However, that one problem will not keep me from staying here again. It is a very nice place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor for better views over the river.

Dear gadawggirl,

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We find great value in each of our guest's comments. We are glad that you enjoyed the space and cleanliness of your Family Suite. We are, however, very sorry that you experienced an issue with the AC unit. This is very unusual considering we have a full-time staff for the AC units. Since two different shifts worked on the problem and thought it was resolved, I was not aware of this situation but will rectify this for our future guests. I would like to invite you to contact me personally at exec@musicroadhotel.com.

We are glad you and your children enjoyed your visit with us and look forward to your return! It’s all about making wonderful memories!

Yours in hospitality,

My stay at Music Road was for one night only at the conclusion of the Wilderness Wildlife Week conference held at the hotel's convention center on Saturday, Jan. 19th, 2013. The hotel is located at traffic light #1 in P.F. and the location is pretty convenient to anything on the north end of P.F. or south end of Sevierville.

I had a double queen bed room on the 7th/top floor (room 720) facing north toward Sevierville. The room had nice furnishing and bed linens, gas fireplace (timer set only), private balcony with sliding glass door, mini-fridge with freezer section and microwave, large bathroom with double sinks and closet holding extra towels (sinks are interior, not exterior to bath/toilet area), large t.v., and closet area with double mirrored doors.

The hotel property itself was very nice with a large, spacious, very elegent lobby area that has a large stone fireplace in the lounge area. There is a two-computer business center just off the lobby area, a small gift-shop area, and two elevators. I did not visit the indoor nor outdoor pool area. I like the fact that they have a 100% no smoking policy and no pets, so my allergies didn't act up too bad.

I checked in around 3:00 between classes at the conference and had no wait. Check in was fast and painless. My receipt was left under my door the following morning so no check out was necessary.

The hotel offers a very nice hot breakfast beginning each morning at 6:00 AM in a very large/nice breakfast room on the river side of the hotel. The breakfast included practically everything you would want, including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bisquits and gravy, several kinds of cereal, bread/bagle items and spreads, yogurts, and much to my delight, sweets like pastries and cinnamon rolls. The had coffee, hot tea, 2% milk, apple and orange juice, and I believe cocoa packs. I don't remember seeing pancakes or waffles, but I may have just missed them. They spread out the food over much of the "front" of the breakfast room.

The only real issue I encountered was that with the hotel completely full and most folks leaving on that Sunday morning, the two elevators in the building couldn't handle all the traffic coming and going. Wait times became a real issue, and I felt sorry for those on the "middle floors" who couldn't start at top or bottom as elevators filled up fast and they were forced to "wait for the next one" several times. Also, even though there were several luggage carriers to use, they all were taken very quickly and it was difficult to locate one when you needed it.

One other minor fault I saw was that the gas fireplace in the room worked only on a timer, and it wouldn't stay on for more than 30 minutes at a time. I would have liked to set it for much longer without having to "reset" it several times.

Overall, though, it was a very nice, if only short, stay and I would not hesitate to book again if my budget allowed.

Please send me a P.M. if you have any questions.

Dear Kat_Cubs_fan,

Thank you for this wonderful and detailed review of your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed your hot breakfast and your room amenities. We are delighted that you would not hesitate to book with us again and hope you do so for your next vacation. We apologize for the unusually large check out the day you left. Wilderness Wildlife Week, as you know, brings in hundreds of people and they usually leave all at the same time. It is such a great fun. We hope you can make it out next year!

All of the Staff, from the desk as check-in, to the maintance workers have smiles and kind words...the breakfast room is cheery and fully loaded with everything from biscuits & gravy to eggs and bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereals, danish & sweet rolls.. The staff Bev & Marlin are always willing to bring more. The rooms are very nice, some with balconies overlooking the Pigeon River, exercise room & pool are handy, Comfy and friendly...and a joy to re-visit in this tourist town.

Room Tip: If available do get a river room! You are right there on the river.

We stayed at the Music Road Hotel after Christmas, and were not disappointed. We had a two queen bed room with a fireplace, looking out on the water park. Keep in mind that the water park view also includes a cemetery view, but also a lovely view of a church steeple. The gas log fireplace (with an easy-on switch) was a nice feature during the 30 degree temps. One nice feature in the bathroom was the dual sinks.

There are two Music hotels next to each other -Music Road Hotel and Music Road Inn, so please confirm when making your reservation which one you've booked.

The hot breakfast offered many delicious options and fresh fruit, and we must have timed our arrival well around 8am. Soon after, there was a line all the way out into the welcoming lobby. Off the lobby (with huge stone fireplace) and breakfast area was a very spacious, lovely deck with rocking chairs looking over the river. Beautiful paintings throughout. Very peaceful and inviting.

The water park looked like great fun for families in the summer.

The front desk staff offered a good suggestion for a late afternoon lunch - the Old Mill Pottery restaurant, a less than 10-minute drive from the hotel. We had a 30-minute wait for a table, but walked around the Old Mill area to pass the time. Public free parking is located directly across the street, where you can catch the trolley. Make sure you have quarters ready for the trolley ride. We took it to Dollywood to avoid parking fees. The easy trip from the public parking area took less than 10 minutes.

We stayed at Music Road Hotel for four days to celebrate the 50th anniversary of my husband's parents. What a pleasant and accomodating staff! I especially appreciated the kindness of Marlin, a bilingual hostess at the fabulous breakfast spread who invited me into an interesting conversation in Spanish of her travels when she learned I was a Spanish teacher. Special thanks to Kay as well who let me know how to give a special recommendation online for such wonderful global hospitality in Pigeon Forge. What an excellent way to bring in the New Year!

Room Tip: Ask if a room with a view of the river is available. The private decks are so nice.
