“Cheap and good location”
Reviewed April 29, 2010

If that's all you want in a hotel, this is it. Clean, average room, free continental breakfast and standard amenities for a Red Roof. Location is behind Walden's Landing, you can walk to several restaurants and shops easily, but away from the noise of the strip. We were on the top floor and the wifi did not work well at all, too far away to get a decent signal from the router maybe? Since it was just overnight till we moved to another hotel it was not a problem, but would have been if we were staying longer. They did slip an offer under the door for more nights at a reduced rate but we had other plans. Staff very nice and helpful, building felt secure and safe, all outside doors require key cards and lot was well lit at night. Pool looked nice, (did not use), breakfast area well stocked also.

I came with a good friend for a girls weekend and we had booked a cabin in Pigeon Forge, but unfortunately due to the snow that came through we were unable to get to the cabin. Everett, at the front desk was able to get us a room for our time there and was so helpful!!! He told us great places to eat, etc. The only complaint I have was some noisy neighbors who let their children run up and down the hall after midnight. Again, Everett needs Kudos!!! I've never been to a hotel where the front desk was so nice, friendly and down to earth! While you are there, make sure to go to Smokey Mountain Brewery right beside the hotel. Get their "Brewmaster Pizza". Best pizza I've ever tasted~

My boyfriend and i stayed at the red roof in because the price was right. Booked it online for only 29.99 a night. Well when we got to the area we realised we wanted to stay in gatlinburg because we liked the area better, but couldnt cancel first night in reservation. Instead of wasting money we stayed there for the night. Room was clean, no balcony but still had great view. Had a king size room, but it also had a double size sofa sleeper. bathroom was also very clean. Well, the next morning we wake up and there is a note slipped under the door that says as an incentive to stay we are offering you 25% off next nights stay! which brought the price down to $22!!!! of course we stayed there the rest of the week. Breakfast wasnt the best, but no complaints it was free! had coffee 24/7 which was nice. even had flavored syrups to put in coffee. deffinately good deal for money

Just got back today from Pigeon Forge. Stayed at the Red Roof Inn 2 nights. Had a king suite. The bed was comfortable, the whirlpool tub was nice. But the balcony had a view of the INN ROOF! That's it, no mountain view or view of the holiday lights, nothing but roof. The carpet was filthy, beyond the point of steam cleaning, needed to be replaced.
Also, there was a lot of noise in the hotel, every time the toilet was flushed or the shower was used in the rooms above us, it sounded like it was in our room. As other reviewers have stated, the breakfast is bad. But it is free, so we can't complain too much about it can we? If you are on a really tight budget then this inn is for you 'cause it is cheap. If you can afford a few dollars more, try another hotel.

Our first room on the 5th floor was worse, the comforter had brown "so called" water stains on it, the mattresses were stained brown on the sides. The tv had dust all around it and the carpet was dirty, oh and the smell when you got off the elevator was horrible. So we asked to have our room switched and we got a room on the 4th floor. When you got off the elevator the smell was more pleasant and the room was alittle cleaner not by much. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, there was mildew stains all around the commode and in the shower around the grout area. The bathroom was really small. There was no vents in the bathroom. Oh and the bath towels are really ragged and mine had a big brown cigarette burn on it. Especially since the rooms were supposed to be oversized queen rooms - yeah right. The breakfast was really cheap. Not much to choose from at all. No bagels. Fresh fruit was green bananas. The indoor pool was the best part it was big and warm but smelled like bleach really bad. We will never stay here again. There are better hotels in Pigeon Forge than this.

The price was excellent as well as the service. Our room, 3rd floor, one king bed was perfect for our trip. All we needed was a place to lay our head for an afternoon nap and to sleep at night and shower in the morning. This particular Red Roof Inn had it all covered as I rate my places to stay by my foot wear:
Our room was so clean and comfortable and relaxing that during my stay i didn't feel the need to walk around in flip flops to and from the rest room or around the room in general. As for the bed, oh my goodness, it was so comfortable as we actually didn't want to crawl out of it Sunday morning to drive home. The bed was more comfprtabel than my bed at home and the sheets are at least 400 count.

Also, there are no hidden cleaning fees that many hotels, condos, and cabins add on at the end of the ticket. As i found out the hard way on one of our previous excursion to the mountains.

Also, the do reconize military discounts as I recomment this hotel for any and all travelers especially military as I am a veteran.

I will definitely stay here next time now that I don't have look anymore.
