I recently visited your hotel while taking a trip to visit my grandaughter. Everything about the stay was great. The large room was always clean, and I always felt comfortable during my stay. Dan, the front desk manager, was helpful, friendly, and he made my grandaughter cheerfull with his interactions with her. In addition, I would highly suggest staying at this Microtel because every member of the staff contributed to a lovely and memorable weekend.

For us, traveling with our mini dachshund, this hotel was the perfect fit. The first two floors are where the pet friendly rooms are located, both floors have easy access to the grassy area for the dogs to "potty". Our room was clean but if you are expecting perfection in a pet friendly room..you do have to realize what room you are in. The carpet is older...but that's okay. Couch was clean...with a few rips...I would expect that in a room for pets. The bed was comfortable, the white sheets immaculant. Bathroom and all of the linens were clean. Kudos to the front desk manager (I think his name was Ken)...he was the ONLY person I saw working the desk all weekend and handled all of our questions with a smile.

I stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Pigeon Forge this past weekend with my mom and her small dog. I am in Pigeon Forge frequently as it's a favorite family destination and have stayed in several hotels there some of which have been less than favorable. We had checked Microtel on a previous trip and though there was no vacancy at that time, we decided to give it a try especially since the rates are reasonable and stays accrue points on Wyndham rewards. The hotel is small and sits on a hill above Krystal with which it shares a driveway. If coming from Sevierville you have to make a u-turn on the divided highway to access the hotel driveway. Fortunately the traffic light does have a turn signal. Exiting the drive, it's fairly easy to reach the turn lane and make another u-turn to drive back to the main strip. Microtel is nearer the end of the parkway which actually makes it nicer because there is less traffic and less going on. Wonderworks and Titanic are directly across the street along with a couple of show theaters and while these attractions are always crowded, it's fairly quiet in this area. The parking lot is adequate for the size of the hotel and grounds are well landscaped. There is a small pool, though it is currently closed for the season. The lobby is welcoming but once inside it can feel a bit claustrophobic - the hotel seems narrow but the rooms are large enough to be comfortable and the lay out is efficient and space saving. Our double queen bed room on the 2nd floor had an island kitchenette which separated the sleeping areas and afforded some privacy. There was a large wardrobe, table and two chairs, fridge, sink, cabinets and microwave, spacious work desk, window seat, built in nightstands and an adequate size bathroom. This is the third Microtel I've stayed in and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't wake up in time to have breakfast on the third floor but according to the menu, much more than the usual continental breakfast was offered. Vending and ice machines were conveniently located in the lobby and offered a good selection of items. I didn't have occasion to use it, but WiFi is available. The room appeared clean and the beds were comfortable enough. Arriving at the hotel early evening I anticipated a lot of noise, slamming doors and foot traffic in the hallway all night but was very surprised how quiet it was when we returned around 11:30. I think our entire floor was booked, but in fact, I didn't hear anything from the other guests until around 7AM. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The only downside to our stay was a slow draining sink in the bathroom, disheveled bedding on one of the beds upon arrival to the room and navigating the narrow drive when meeting oncoming traffic. It's great Microtel is pet friendly since traveling with a pet can sometimes be an issue. We will definately consider Microtel on our next trip to Pigeon Forge.
