My family and I just stayed at Mountain Valley Condos for the Labor Day holiday. We rented a two bedroom/2 bathroom condo and it was GREAT! The decor and furniture were really nice with an Asian flair. The condo was very spacious and had all the comforts of home from flat screen TV's in everyroom to cute marching nightlights. The condo was clean and very convenient to the attrations in Pigeon Forge. I love the keyless entry for the room (less to keep up with!) The only small complaint is that you have to drive to a different location to check in. With that said, I will definately be staying here again when I come back to Pigeon Forge to vacation.

The condo we rented (unit 5301) was great. It was neat and clean and the home decor was gorgeous. Location of the condo was ideal, it is in close vicinity to the amusement events in Pigeon Forge. The only problem we experienced was the entrance (keyless) into the unit. The door kept getting stuck. The representatives at the Amazing View of the Smokies were very helpful and courteous. All in all we had a wonderful stay and a great vacation.

Let me start with the positives about the Condo itself. The units are nicely furnished - flat screens, newer appliances, jacuzzi, and king bed in the our one bedroom condo. The furniture in the living room had seen better days and could stand to be replaced but everything else was in tip top shape. The location is wonderful - tucked just off te strip - not too far away from the fun but not too close to the noise. Our 5th floor condo had a great view of the mountains that we enjoyed daily on the balcony. There are even carts in front of the building that are extremely handy for taking bags to and from the room.

Now about Accomodations by Sunset, the company that rented the unit to us.... Their base price on the units is great until you start paying large fees for things like cleaning. Makes the whole thing much less of a deal. Then on top of that, there is a lengthy checklist to follow before check out to make sure your $200 damage fee is refunded. The list is absurd and includes items such as "take all the trash out to the dumpster" "return all furniture to original location INCLUDING REMOTE" "wash, rinse and dry all dishes and return to their original location." "Set the thermostat to 78."
Look, I don't mind straightening up after myself but if I'm going to pay a $40 cleaning fee, it seems like housekeeping should do most of the "Cleaning". Also, there is no process for going straight to your condo, you have to drive across town to get a KEY CODE and the ridiculous check out checklist.

Long story short, if you can rent the condos through a different place than Sunset, they are very nice and could be affordable without all the jacked up fees.

We spent a week at Mountain View. We was in 3704. The condo itself was pretty clean. My son wanted to use the tub in the master bedroom, when i turned on the jets all this black stuff came out. I had to clean the tub/jets before I allowed my son to use the tub. The toilet in the master bath seal was broke so everytime you used it, it rocked. The elevated smelled terrible. Trash was left in it overnight. The pool was very small but we only spent maybe an hour there a day. We had to call maintenance 2 times because TV remote in Living room not working, & TV in second bedroom did not work. There was a total of 6 of us staying in condo (2 adults & 4 kids), I feel like they could provide you with a few more towels. We would stay here again, its a lot more room then a hotel room.

We stayed in a 2 BR/ 2 Bath condo during the last week of July. We had a little difficulty finding the location to check in (you don't check in at the condo but at another location across town). We were given a code to enter into the keypad to open the room door. The batteries in the keypad were not working, but once we reported this the maintenance man came quickly to replace the batteries. The room was exactly as described on the website. The washer/dryer and 3 TVs were necessities. The AC worked wonderfully, even when outside temps were over 100. The location was convenient for all of the shows and attractions in Pigeon Forge. We will definitely recommend this condo to others. We stayed in this condo cheaper and much more comfortably than we could have in one of the hotels in the area.
