“Great Food ... Enormous Portions!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

The Old Mill is a great experince in southern dining. The food is wonderful although the portions are huge. We purchased one entree then paid $8.99 for a second plate and family size vegetables. Sharing the one meat entre with the added vegetables, appetizers and desserts is more food that any two people need. Purchasing two entrees would have been an exercise in gluttony!! That said, the food is wonderful - tasty, hearty and southern.

The service is exceptional and the staff give great advice in terms of menu choices and how to order it.

If you order individually, be prepared to take a good deal of it home with you.

It can be noisy but what family style restaurant isn't. Not exactly the romantic sort of restaurant but if that's what you're after there are plenty of other choices. If you're looking for great home cooked southern country food ... this is it.

“They do not do Breakfast/Brunch”

We went for breakfast and had to switch to lunch but we were not disapointed. They do have quiche on the lunch menu.

“Great Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

Super size meals and great great great service fast! Good food!
There can be a long (20 min) wait but the store was great to hang out in while we waited. It was worth the wait! Great food and fast friendly service. Could not ask for better. Thank you!!!

“Loved it so much we went back twice!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Loved the food and atmosphere. Great Southern food (jalapeno corn pudding, fried green tomatoes and desserts!). I love that they use the pottery that is made locally to serve the food. I also love the fact that while you're waiting (if there's a wait), you get a buzzer that you can carry to the shops attached and shop while you wait! If you don't want to shop, you could also sit outside and enjoy the beautiful landscape. The service was great both times we went in one week! We preferred this to the Old Mill Restaurant across the street (essentially the same menu) but had a much shorter wait.

“Celebrated my 60th birthday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

We spent a week in Pigeon Forge and my family asked where I wanted to go for my 60th. birthday. Of all the places to eat I chose the Old Mill Pottery House Cafe and Grille. The food was delicious and the service was great (especially since there was 11 of us). All the family enjoyed it. Years earlier we went thru and watched them make pottery with my parents. It brought back lots of memories. Thank you for a great evening!
