“Great place for kids!!”

My son absolutely had a blast here!! We got the $25 fossil and gem bucket and he found all kinds of stones as well as shark teeth, arrowheads and other cool fossils. The people working here were all friendly and helpful! The people that identify your stones are knowledgable and not pushy at all to have stones polished or cut. Definitely will come back again!!!

“Kids were thrilled!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

My kids like collecting rocks and gems, so they really enjoyed this. We bought the $25 bucket containing gems and fossils. They shared and were each happy with their finds. The staff here was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed having our treasures identified and there was no pressure to have anything cut/polished. I found a $3 coupon online, which was honored off my smartphone.

“Kids love this”

This is the second gem mining experience for us. The Dells is much more $$$ and much less personal- We spent $15 and got quite a good amount of gems. The man that sold us the bucket was very nice and actually helped my 4 year old daughter get some great stones. The bathrooms were very clean too.

“Excellent activity for the family!!”

Great for kids, interesting and entertaining for adults as well. For the starting bucket ($15 or $20) you find several kind of stones and gems. Great value for the price! Our kids had so much fun!! At the end, in the neat store they have in the back, you can take your findings to a specialist who is able to identify them and also offer the service of cutting or polishing the gems. In addition, you could buy stones, gems, jewelry and many more souvenirs. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!

“Gem of An Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

We spent an entire morning with our grandsons sifting buckets of dirt through screen and down a water flume like prospectors for gold. The boys had the $25 buckets, one containing just gems, and one with both fossils and gems. There were varying qualities and quantities of gems increasing with the cost of the bucket selected - $35, $50, and up. With every stone they found they were just as excited as though it were a diamond. After going through their buckets, they took their stones inside to be assayed. They will tell you what gems you have and show you what they would look like after cutting and polishing. They want you to have them set into a ring, pendant, earrings, etc., but they don't pressure you. The boys loved it and later had fun trading their "gems".
