Owner description: Everyone knows the name Titanic! Everyone knows Titanic struck and iceberg! And everyone knows Titanic was lost! She sat at the bottom of the ocean for 75 years before they found her in 1985. A second expedition to the wreck site went out in 1986 and that expedition was co-led by the owner of this museum. The artifacts you see throughout the ship are REAL and valued at over $4 million dollars. You'll be able to touch a growing iceberg, experience the 28 degree water, try and steer the ship and pay tribute to the 2,208 passengers and crew that were on the Titanic. You will enter as a guest and leave as a Titanic Passenger!

Under ranked!!! This museum should be #1 or 2!!!! The exhibit is so well done. It is an audio self guided interactive tour with prompts along the way to activate the provided audio recorder. There are adult and separate kid friendly prompts at each stop. Therefore, the kids have kid appropriate explanations along the way while adults have more in depth graphic descriptions. We didn't hear one time from our kids, "What does that mean?"

Great historical context regarding what was going in during the era in which the Titantic was built. Never realized all of the key figures that were on the Titantic (ie. Straus - owner of Macy's).

Great for all ages. Well worth the money!!

“Wonderful tribute!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge is a “must see” tourist attraction! It is reasonably priced and well worth the cost ($21.38 for an adult plus $2.73 to use the audio unit). When you enter the museum, each visitor is given a card with a real passenger’s name and some history about the passenger. Throughout the self-guided tour, you have an opportunity to see what that passenger may have experienced and at the end of the tour, you will learn the fate of that particular passenger. Each visitor is also given a hand-held audio unit (it looks like a TV remote or a telephone receiver) to use while they are at the museum. The audio units are programmed to provide an audio history at most of the museum exhibits. It was very nice to tour the museum at our own pace while still having the opportunity to listen to a narrative at each exhibit. Some of us were even moved to tears as we thought of what the passengers and crew members experienced during this fateful voyage. The museum is remarkably unique and you actually feel as if you are on the Titanic in some parts of the museum (walking on the Grand Staircase, touching an iceberg, placing your hand in 28 degree water, sitting in a wooden lifeboat, walking on the deck as if it were tilting upward as the ship was sinking, etc.). What an amazing tribute to those whose lives were lost and to those who survived this tragedy! We highly recommend this attraction for all ages (school-aged children and older). The hand-held audio units are uniquely programmed for adults or children, so that was nice as well!

“Not to be missed!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

I have always been drawn to the story of Titanic. I have been able to see the travelling exhibit with original artifacts several times. When I heard they had built a permanent museum in Pigeon Forge, I had to go see it. Our party consisted of myself, my wife, my 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son. We all enjoyed our visit and will come back!
First question I had was why build this in Pigeon Forge - answer: 10 million visitors a year!

The facility is built to resemble the ship itself with the White Star Line boarding office in front.
I was quite impressed with the knowledge of the staff and the respect in the way they present the personal stories of the passengers and crew of this famous and tragic luxury liner. You are given a card with the name of a person who was on Titanic. You find out their fate at the end of the tour. Be sure to get the headphones. We got 2 pairs for 5.00 and were able to share them easily.

When you tour the ship, you will see original and one of a kind artifacts from Titanic. (ONLY known key to exist to the first class cabins) The Grand Staircase was most impressive, but ask the staff what your kitchen floor covering has in common with this 1912 icon.

Don't miss seeing: the bridge and view of the iceberg, Father Browne's pictures of the inside of Titanic (only known pictures to exist of the inside of the ship) and take your time and read/listen to the descriptions of the items in this collection- there are so many interesting and heartfelt items to see.
ASK QUESTIONS of the staff. They can enlighten you on many aspects of the period and the person you have on your personal passenger/crew card you hold.
Recommend spending 2-3 hours to really see and enjoy everything.

Loved the grand staircase & the many informative displays. Sad part of history but important to remember and honor those that lost their lives.
