Cherokee Lodge Condos

After talking with some friends that had stayed at the condo a year earlier we decided to stay. The price for two nights was a great deal and after staying in countless cabins that were over priced, dirty, and miles from the main strip we were ready for a change. It is located on a busy road and very close to every thing, but the only entrance is narrow and steep. The room needed to be cleaned a little better the floors were dusty and the table had food crumbs.

My family and I stayed at Cherokee Lodge at the end of June and we loved it.... it was our first time staying in a condo and we will def. be staying again...It was clean and quiet....we could see the fireworks from dollywood at 9:30 just by walking out our front door and standing on the hotel balcony...we were not staying through july 4th but if we was it would have been a great view of the fireworks from our balcony because we could see patriot park.

Room Tip: We had room 401 it was on the end so no one had to pass by our door to get to there room.

We have stayed at Cherokee lodge at least four times. I love it. There is plenty of room for all to sit and sleep. The kitchen is well equipped and staff is always friendly. My children love the pool and they are very family friendly.

We have stayed at Cherokee Lodge Condos three times. The reviews here about the spaciousness and cleanliness are correct. My children refer to the condos as "the mountains home." However, I'm afraid our last trip was our last time staying here. We usually travel at the beginning of June and although the pool is heated, it's still very cold. That's our breaking point with Cherokee Lodge. During our stay in 2012, we and other guests complained about the temperature of the pool. When I asked to speak with a manager I was told that wasn't possible and they'd have the manager call me in a few days (we were leaving the next day). We almost didn't stay there this year but we wanted to give it one more chance. Again, this year, the pool was so cold my children could only swim for 20 minutes max during the day in warm, sunny conditions before they started shivering and lips were turning blue. As we did last year, we had asked if they could turn up the heater, but it did no good. I'm so disappointed because I love, love, love Cherokee Lodge. But, when we pay $189 per night, we would like to be able to use all of the facilities to their fullest and we just aren't able to do that. My children are young and could not understand why we weren't allowing them to swim more often during our stay. We have stayed at Riverstone Resort in the past and it looks as though we may be headed back there in the future. They have an outdoor and indoor pool.

You can't beat Cherokee Lodge! Plenty of room in our spotless condo for 4 adults and 1 child. Seconds away from Patriots Park Trolly location ( Dollywood Trolly) and minutes from the Smoky Mountains National park and Gatlinburg. Love that it's so close to everything yet still quiet.

We had two families (4 adults and 7 children) stay two nights in a three-bedroom condo. We were all very comfortable. The sleeper sofa was great, too. Plenty of privacy for the adults and room for the kids to play. It was great being off the main strip of Pigeon Forge which is insanely busy. We didn't hear any traffic or hear any of our neighbors and I believe the place was sold out. The hardwood floors were a bonus and we didn't have that icky dirty hotel carpet feeling :) The condo was well maintained though we could have used more lighting. Some of the lamps didn't work and the recessed lighting was out in the living area. There were plenty of cooking utensils and pans, even dishwashing detergent. Additional soap for handwashing and such would have been appreciated, but we bought our own. The weather was too cold for the pool and waterslide but it looked like a lot of fun. I would stay again for sure!

Our family of five - two adults and three kids under 10 - stayed here for 5 nights in March for Spring Break. The unit we stayed in was immaculate, modern and spacious. The washer and dryer were a great addition as we didn't have to return home with loads of dirty laundry; the dishwasher a must with five of us eating a meal or two in each day; and the aesthetically appealing décor was a bonus. The fitness center/workout room had 2 elliptical trainers, a treadmill, a dumbbell set, a balance ball, a weight/stiup bench, a remote satellite T.V. and a fan for when things get sweaty. The location is spectacular - moments to Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, the road to Gatlinburg and the historic Old Mill district. If you want to be close to what I would refer to as "The Strip" where attractions and shops abound, you would be in a great location also. The staff here is very friendly, the parking very adequate and it feels secure and safe! If I had to list a drawback, it would be the close proximity to the road. The a.m. "rush hour" traffic was very apparent in the master bedroom and to whomever sleeps on the pullout couch in the family room. Earplugs took care of that in the master, and we bought a box fan at Wal-Mart after the first night to drown out the road noise for our son on the sleeper sofa.

Room Tip: As these are condo units, entry- and exitways are exterior with one centrally located elevator. We...
