My family stayed at this hotel 9/21-9/23/2010. I read TripAdvisor reviews, and decided to give this hotel a try.The room price was very good, as I think our visit was considered "low" season.
It is a nice hotel and good location. One can walk to the Christmas Shop, restaurants, and a CVS. The hotel area and rooms appeared updated and clean. The complimentary breakfast was good for our family.Food items were always being replaced, and the area kept clean. We enjoyed the large indoor pool and fed the ducks. I think the location is quite pleasant, and hope to make a return visit.

We recently stayed here during the Grand Rod Run. We found the rooms to be very clean; service to be super friendly; and location to be almost perfect. It's a little hard to get in and out on the Parkway. The rooms are very small, and the walls are a little thin. We had no problems with A/C noise and found the breakfast actually to be better than most. There was a good variety; the food tasted good; the patio was great; and the thing that impressed us most was how clean the breakfast area is kept. We will definitely return!

I have to commend the front desk staff. They are very friendly and try their best to meet your needs and/or solve any problems you may have.
The hotel has a very nice appearance and is perfectly located. The ducks and geese are a cool perk.
The room itself was nice enough. The beds are very confortable. There was a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, two closets and plenty of drawer & cabinet space.
We were on the first floor riverside and stayed Sunday to Saturday.
We did have a couple of problems with the room itself. The air conditioner was very loud when the compressor would kick in. Naturally it was much more noticeable during the quiet of the night...it did cause problems with our sleeping. I asked about having it looked at while we out Tuesday. When we got back, it was still loud so I contacted the front desk to ask if it had been checked. They said it had but they said there wasn't really much they could do about the noise and they felt it was normal. We've never had an A/C make noise that loud anywhere we've stayed before.....we usually average 3-4 hotel stays every year at different hotels. The front desk person asked if I wanted to talk to the manager, but I said not to worry about it. Within 5 minutes, he was at the door. He was very nice and genuinely concerned and said the air conditioners were new so I think he was surprised that there might be a problem. Of course, it didn't sound nearly as bad when he was there. He said if it did it again to call him. I really didn't see the point in calling him because it appeared there was not going to be anything that could be done. We just turned the a/c to High Fan at night to avoid the noise. There was only a couple of nights that it got a little uncomfortable temperature wise, so we made do.
The other problem was the door. We would have to try to unlock the door two or three times everytime we would go in before the door would actually open....didn't matter which room key we used.
The breakfast was just so-so. I've had better at comparable hotels. The hotel web site advertises 'southern grits'. It's actually Quaker Instant Grits in individual packs. That is NOT southern grits!
Had one issue with housekeeping. They never left enough coffee 'fixings' for two people. Everyday they would leave one packet of sugar/creamer/stirrer, etc. One day we were there when they came around and asked for one more as there were two people staying in the room. The next day only one pack was left again. Next morning I left a note nicely asking for enough for two people but when we got back to the room, the note was gone and there was only one pack left for us.
Overall, I would say it was decent stay for the price. I might stay here again although it wouldn't be my first choice of hotels.

This hotel was great! Hotel staff was outstanding. We had 3 rooms which were all extremely clean. This is a Choice Hotels Gold property and I can see why, they offer so much more than most Comfort Inns, and yet this is priced as an EconoLodge. The rooms all had microwaves and refrigerators, along with cabinets and doube closets. I read there was no game room, but there was. The breakfast was above most Econo Lodges and very rooming, stocked and maintained well. We did enjoy the riverview and ducks, along with the indoor pool and courtyard. I will stay again, and would recomment this hotel to all my friends! There is a reason this hotel is rated so highly on Trip Advisor out of so many hotels in the Smoky Mountain Area!

This Econo Lodge was a lot nicer than many 4 star hotels we have stayed in. Extremely clean, in fact there were employees constantly cleaning the grounds, rooms, walk ways and the floors. The indoor pool was very nice, kiddie pool too. We had fun at the arcade also. The breakfast was great, hot items, great variety...once again the employees did a great job keeping it clean and stocked. Nice breakfast area and outside area with seating. Front desk was very helpful throughout the stay. Savannah went the extra mile to help us find the attractions we wanted to go to. Oh my, and the river, absolutely gorgeous..loved the ducks. Our children had a great time. The hotel was very kid-friendly and they provided us with a pack and play for no charge. Check in and out was a breeze. Rooms were a nice size and again, very CLEAN, great AIR! The cleaning staff was very nice as well, gave us plenty towels anytime we ask for extra. Location is great, right off the parkway. It was very close to many attractions and food options. We had a great stay, and we will be back soon! You can't find a better deal, great quality for a great price!

we booked a weeks stay at this hotel, when we arrived with our service dog they never ask to see any papers, just put down we had a service dog, check in was quick and easy. The downside of this hotel is the way the rooms are situated. the walkways are extremely hot and you look out your window at anothe room window. The rooms are very small, but spotless clean. it would okay for an overnight stay, but if you are staying longer ask for a room that either face the river or the parkway. after 2 nights, we checked out and moved to another motel. also has a good breakfast
