“Great deal on this hotel”
Reviewed December 29, 2012

Great deal on Hotwire for this hotel. Less than $140 for 3 nights in the middle of their busy Fall season.

The Ramada is a very nice hotel with friendly front desk staff. Decent breakfast (although orange juice was lousy) in nice big rooms adjacent to the lobby. Hotel was handy to everything Pigeon Forge has to offer.

Very comfortable, great shower, beds and clean room. Not much of a view from our window, but no big deal. Some noise from the front strip and the stairs.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms close by the stairs.

When I stay at a hotel I consider how much I pay, keeping my expectations in check. We did not want to spend a lot of money for a hotel room right after Christmas. My wife and I stay in Pigeon Forge once or twice a year. Hotel prices in Pigeon Forge continue to get higher. This hotel looks like it has recently been updated. You can still tell that it is an older hotel. Here are my pros.great location, friendly staff, good water pressure in the shower, beds are comfortable, newer ac units, newer clean carpets, flat screen tvs. Cons. the sheets were definitely older but clean, no hot tub(they say they have a whirlpool, this is just a area in one of the corners of the pool where you can sit, 3 jets shooting water into the pool), breakfast is very average at best, my wife I and I skipped it the second day.Over all this hotel was well worth the cost. I would stay here again if the price was right.

This was our first trip to Pigeon Forge and I am so glad we chose this hotel. Upon walking in the door we noticed the pretty lobby and how clean and well-maintained everything was. Check-in was a breeze and soon we were in our room. I liked the layout of the bathroom--nice and roomy. The bathroom was also well-stocked and squeaky clean. I felt comfortable to go barefoot as the carpet was super well vacuumed. The sheets were clean and soft, providing good sleep. It was awesome to have a warm, sparkling clean pool. Lots of good swimming. Also on one end there is a whirl pool that was relaxing. Then there was a small sauna. It was wonderful and warm. The breakfast was yummy! Everything was kept stocked, fresh and clean. We had a large selection of waffles, biscuits, fruits, juices and more. All the staff--at the desk, at breakfast, housekeeping, etc.--were very friendly. It wasn't put-in friendly where you felt they thought they had to be nice, it was genuine friendliness and niceness. Check-out was quick and easy. We will be staying here on our next trip to Pigeon Forge.

Thank you for your wonderful review! While we always strive to provide clean, comfortable rooms, your comment, " It wasn't put-in friendly where you felt they thought they had to be nice, it was genuine friendliness and niceness" makes us very pleased. We sure hope you will come and visit us and the great beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains, the fantastic shopping and...well all of it again soon! Thank you.

We stayed here for one night. Made our reservations through an opaque travel provider and had no trouble checking in. I asked about a complimentary upgrade but it was declined. So I paid $20 to upgrade to the family suite. It has a king bed and a queen bed plus a large sitting area, all in the same room. The breakfast was standard yogurt, juice, cereal, fruit milk, waffle maker, and a hot item (biscuits and gravy the day I stayed). The room seemed clean, but another light would have been helpful. Did not use the pool. Hotel is located near the Titanic Museum. Would stay again.

We are Hilton people. So, staying here was a gamble for us. The place is very clean. Rockers outside encourage sitting and gathering while waiting for the trolley. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel by the gentlemen at the desk Sunday afternoon. The place is older, but recently nicely remodeled. The beds had four pillows, from fluffy to flat. You know you will find the perfect one for you! The shower was AWESOME!! Another bonus, next to the Ramada is a 24 hour DUNKIN DONUTS! Cracker Barrel is a short walk. Will we stay again? Would we recommend this hotel. YES TO BOTH! Of course, not 100% perfect. Take note. Monday breakfast, 10 AM breakfast done / food gone ASAP. Two families ahead of us took most of the food (and of course wasted the stuff later). But we did get some cereal and fruit before they hustled the food away. Wed, better, helpful staff. Thur staff was the best. Breakfast is average fair: sausage, gravy, biscuits, cereals, breads, hard boiled egg, drink. Now to the indoor pool, a bit chilly for us but still fun. The Wi-Fi is s-l-o-w. And then as another reviewer mentioned: Beware! Christmas Day we were awoken at 9:30 AM. ""DO YOU NEED MAID SERVICE? "" What ?????? We planned on sleeping in! Guess not! TIPS TO AVOID BEING AWAKENED BY THE MAID -----> put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door the night before. And enjoy your stay at the Ramada :)

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor. We did notice much more traffic and noise down on the first floor.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It is well positioned in the heart of Pigeon Forge. It has its own trolley stop right in front of the hotel. It is clean, affordable, and the staff were very friendly. My ONLY compliant since staying there for many years now, happened over the Christmas weekend. We had every intention of sleeping in both nights that we we were there. The maid staff had other plans for us. As early as 7am, they were cleaning rooms around us, and we could hear doors slamming, vacuums running, and maids talking in the hall. This is something that i never remembering experiencing anytime we have stayed here before.

I apologize for the inconvenience of being woke up by noisy housekeepers. Certainly, that is not the way anyone wants to greet the morning. We are so pleased that you are a return guest and hate that your experience was not up to our normal standards. I really appreciate your bringing it to our attention. I'm glad the room was clean and comfortable and that you found the hotel pleasing. Isn't the trolley stop great! Convenient with a bit of nostalgia. Many of our guests enjoy taking advantage of riding it. I hope you will return soon and allow us to serve you again.
