“A Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2006

We just returned from a trip to Pigeon Forge and stayed at the Comfort Inn. The suite was spacious and very clean. We were on the ground floor and were able to park next to our balcony. This hotel is right off Dollywood Lane so that was a plus. Also the Dixie Stampede is within walking distance. There are several restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay.

We just came back from pigeon Forge, our stay at the Comfort Inn was wonderful. I felt very safe there because you had to have a key card to get into the building. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. I went with my husband , son (who celebrated his 21st birthday there), and a very dear friend. We had the 2 Queens beds, sofa sleeper, and a fireplace. The price for a room like this was very reasonable. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

We attempted to check into our room two times and we were told each time the hotel was short staffed and they had a lot of people checking out and our room would be ready in about an hour. Finally by the third time we retured we were allowed in our room. When we got there I found loads of black hair covering the bathroom floor and I was also put in a smoking room when a non smoking room was requested.
The front desk clerk came up about 20 minutes later with a mop. Not once during the stay did I even get an apology from anyone. As a matter of fact no one even asked about my stay when I checked out.
Beware of this hotel. There are much nicer hotels availabe in the Pigeon Forge area and I must say they are also lower in price.
I will say the breakfast was above average though. Needless to say I will not stay in this hotel during my next vacation.

We stayed here over spring break March 2005. The room was clean and the microwave and fridge came in very handy. We had a balcony, which is a must for us.

The only problem is when taking our kids to the pool we had to go down to the main floor, into a small ajoining "breezeway", that was very cold and dark, down another long hallway, just to get to the indoor pool. The first & second night at the pool was good. The third night was not as good. The pool light came out and was floating in the pool. My husband went to the front desk immediately to report it. Maintenance came right out to fix it, but was unsuccessful. We left and went back to our room. I believe they closed the pool, but i'm not sure. When we checked out the next morning the light was not fixed.

Overall, it was a good clean room. My only hangup was the pool area. I would stay here again, but it would have to be at a very good rate.

Just returned from our 1st trip in Gatlinburg and after reading many reviews on different hotels I choose this one. After visiting however, for the same price, there were many other better options. For one, the Comfort Inn on Teaster Lane is newer and a lot nicer and in a better part of Pigeon Forge. This hotel was OK...clean room, no mold or anything, no bugs/insects but a little small for a fmaily of 4.

The mini fridge didnt keep things that cool but not room temperature either. The microwave, coffee pot, firdge were very clean! Bathroom on the small side and no counter space. Noise level was OK but I can see how it could be a problem if you had noisy neighbors. You can hear everything - water running, toilet flush, etc. Depends on your luck if you get quiet or noisy neighbors.

The pool was really small and very chloriney smelling but we let our 5 yr old in anyway. Breakfast was nicer than I expected...make-your-own waffles (pour the batter, turn the waffle machine and take 'em out!), hardboiled (cold) eggs, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal and all the typical toasts, bagels, muffin etc.

If you are looking for a decent place to stay, this is it. If you are looking to be in the better area of town go for the other Comfort Inn on Teaster Lane or stay at Governer's Crossing (we'll stay there next time) which are nearer to traffic lights #1-4.
This hotel is at Light #8.

Also - its walking distance from Pizza Hut, Arby's, Baskin Robbins, Denny's (in same parking lot) and Long John Silver's. Our family however, would have preferred to be near Friday's, Olive Garden, O'Charley's, Starbucks, etc, on the other end of Pigeon Forge.

All in all...an OK hotel.

Stayed at Comfort Inn for the annual quilt fest, intend to stay here next year. Great hotel and staff. Only one negative - they try to use the hotel safe to add a fee of $1.00 to your bill (but took it off - I don't pay for these SCAMS). Otherwise an excellent hotel with great continental breakfast and friendly staff.

Room was very clean. A great value! We stayed in the King Suite with Whirpool tub for $67 a night. Room was above avg size. Had a nice breakfast and is located close to everything you want to see in pigeon forge. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean comfortable room. Pictures included
