Ramada Pigeon Forge South

First let me start by saying that we booked our stay through Expedia and the hotel agreed to refund our credit card for the nights we did not stay. We picked this hotel b/c it had 3 beds in 2 rooms. Upon arrival my husband noticed a musty smell immediately. I work at a resort and suspected the smell was coming from the a/c unit. See the pictures I took. The carpet was dirty and caused my kids socks to turn black on the bottom. The hotel did offer to move us to another room but it had the exact same smell. I bought Fabreeze to try to eliminate the smell, but it didn't work. We stayed the first night, took a shower in the morning - the shower head was not working properly - and left. I did make the front desk aware of all the issues I found in the room in the hopes that they will be able to take care of the problems.

Hotel is at a good location - one of the closest to Gatlinburg and the Smokies if you are staying in PF. Rooms are reasonably clean, service is decent, breakfast is weak (except for the waffles, everything else seems cheap) and limited space. Upper floors do not have elevator.

We were at Ramada for the SGM Fanfair in 2008. We had a wonderful experience there. The staff was great and very helpful and the continental breakfast was very good. Rooms are clean and convinent to all locations. Just a very good stay over all and would suggest this hotel to all our friends and family.

Everything you'd expect from a Ramada - nothing fancy, clean rooms, great staff, decent breakfast (waffles and biscuits with gravy along with the usual cereals and breads), nice pool and hot tub. Excellent location to see Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. One down-side: no elevator! There are two ramps that make the walk upstairs easier, but if you've got some sore muscles from caving, an elevator would have been nice!
Quiet - not even any sound from the main road. Paid 51.16 per night the week after Memorial Day for 2 queen beds; included a fridge.
I'd stay here again - can't beat the price for a decent place!

The room was pretty standard as far rooms go. We booked ours in advance for $62/ night but you'll pay over $100/ night without reservations. Definately not worth $100/ night. The second day we were there we got a call from the front desk. The Manager said, "We know you have a dog in the room and will be charging your credit card an additional $50". They refused to listen to reason and charged us anyway. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company.
Not to mention that there was a chubby dude who followed my girlfriend around, appearing on the third floor when she left the room then showing up on the first floor when she tried to come back. Watch out for the dude in shorts, or better yet stay somewhere else. We will.
