Stop by Dollywood while we were on our honeymoon. This was my first trip and my wife's 3rd. We had a blast. Of course it was melting hot, but the lines moved pretty quickly.

Although we really were not interested in the rides, we found there was plenty to do to keep us occupied as adults with no kids. We first toured one of Dolly's buses, stood and watched many crafters, went to a fantastic bluegrass show, strolled around, just enjoying the atmosphere and outside entertainment, and went to an air-conditioned 50's diner to get out of the afternoon heat. The food throughout the park was pricey, just as it is in all such theme parks. One word of warning, we had enough time before leaving to ride the coal-fired steam engine and were so sorry we did that. We were headed directly from there out to dinner, and the train got soot all over our clothes, faces, and hair. They did warn us before the train left the station after we were all seated, but we did not anticipate getting as much soot on us as we did. Except for that, we had a great time!

The kids love the park and there is a lot of different things besides just rides. Music shows, different places to eat, shops and shopping and a lot of shade. A great place to go if you have the right frame of mind.

The season pass at Dollywood is a great value. It is less than two days of seperate entrances. If you live close enough to visit and return home late on the same day, no overnight lodging is needed. It is a wonderful way to for entertainment and making memories with your family. With the season pass you can go as many times as you wish for a year.
