Dollywood was a fun experience with all four of my teenagers. If they love roller coasters, they'll like this park. Some of the roller coaster were a bit rough for us "older" folks and tossed you around a bit but the kids seem to love it. The best part was if you arrived after 3:30pm, you got to revisit the park the following day for no extra charge! Loved that! We went at 4 and walked around til 7 and then returned in the morning to ride the rides we had already scoped out. The Eagle/bird presentation was awesome. The birds were tame and a joy to watch. The teenagers really enjoyed the show.... and believe me, they do not like too many shows.

Dollywood is one of the prettier parks you will ever visit. It's definitely worth spending a day here, but maybe plan things out early. There seem to be more shows here than rides but they are all in the front of the park & they all end early.

If you have non-riders in your family you will either constantly be walking back & forth to meet up with them to ride some rides as a family, or be waiting around for someone to finish. It seems they could have scattered the theaters throughout the park to accomodate that sort of thing. Also, having all the shows end a couple hours before the park closes doesn't seem to make sense.

Only other complaint we had was with the Dolly museum. It seemed more dedicated to the people early in her career than to her personally. The photos & notes on the wall of the 1st floor were pretty fun. You can never go wrong looking at her amazing gowns, but it would have nice to see different awards she has won & track her career.

We often visit Dollywood since we have season passes. We have young children (5 and 6). We have been going regularly (4+ times per year...more now that they are able to ride more rides) since they were able to sit in the toddler rides. Dollywood is so gracious and helpful when purchasing tickets. If you have a 3 year old or younger...you do NOT need to purchase tickets for them. Only one person in your group needs to get the Gold Pass if you are thinking about that....it allows parking and 20% off food as well as some other discounts. We think Dollywood is GREAT for children 42" and taller. They can ride so many things. We enjoy it...and often!

I went to Dollywood first back in May with my husband. We could not believe how nice, clean and how much fun everything was. We were amazed at how nice and helpful the staff was. No matter what we needed or what our questions were they were all so eager to help us and happy to be at work. I live in a tourist area and the attitude at Dollywood is a rarity. We didn't ride any of the rides but figured people with kids would love this place.

I took my mother back in the end of August. They were having the bluegrass and BBQ festival. Everything was so good, the food and entertainment. We rented the scooter for her and we were there everyday they were open and stayed almost until closing everyday. She was so happy and everyone was so helpful and nice. I can whole heartedly recommend Dollywood to EVERYONE!!! If you are going for more than a few days get the gold pass. We saved what the gold pass cost us, it was worth the upgrade. We have been looking for rooms so we can go back during the Christmas festival.
